On Sunday, September 20, Presley Gerber, the only son of Cindy Crawford, who had battled addiction for years, passed away at an unknown rehab centre.
Presley was the only son of Cindy, 60, and her businessman husband, Rande Gerber, 64, and the older brother of model-actor Kaia Gerber, and new reports say his supermodel mom is struggling to process the devastating loss.

The late model died aged just 27, with reports suggesting is may have been related to an overdose after Santa Monica Police Department officers were dispatched to a Santa Monica, California rehab facility. Allegedly, the A-lister’s child had checked in for treatment on the same weekend he passed away.
According to Page Six, Cindy has been “devastated” and “inconsolable” since she lost her eldest child. A source told the entertainment publication: “They were so close.
“What you saw online and in the press wasn’t just for that purpose. They were a tight-knit family and [sister] Kaia and Presley were more than just siblings. Cindy has to be beyond gutted.”
According to a second source: “Cindy is inconsolable. She’s absolutely devastated. This is every parent’s worst nightmare, and the family is still trying to process everything that happened.”
Like his sister, Presley followed in his mom’s footsteps and began modelling at the age of 15 in 2015. His runway debut was for Italian label Moschino; Presley went on to model for brands including Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, and Bottega Veneta.
Presley first opened up about his substance abuse by recalling a near-fatal fentanyl overdose in 2024. Shortly after, he checked into rehab to undergo treatment.
Reportedly, Cindy has always been a very involved parent who, according to the first source, “Never missed a school function and was on top of everything when it came to her kids.”
They added: “I’m sure that Cindy would make sure her kid was going to the best rehab, though.
“That’s the kind of mom she was. She was so involved in everything for them.”
After Presley publicly announced four months ago that he was undergoing treatment for addiction, Cindy labeled her son as a “warrior”.
In the social media announcement, Presley announced he had “faced” what he was running from and was “finding” his “way back”.
In the comment section, his mom Cindy wrote: “You are a warrior! Walked thru fire to find yourself! So proud!”
Saturday Night star and global supermodel sister, Kaia, added: “That’s my brother I am so damn proud.”
