Expert explains ‘Mar-a-Lago face’ as ‘woman in the red dress’ behind Trump goes viral
A woman who was seen standing behind Donald Trump in the Oval Office on Wednesday (October 7) has gone viral for all the wrong reasons.
She's been described as a 'robot clone' by those on social media, with many questioning if she's a real woman.
The mystery woman was behind the President as he announced the launch of the Trump Accounts Investment programme.
He stated that around 70 million American children have been enrolled since it launched in July, adding: "So if all goes well, which I think it will, they'll end up being quite rich by the time they're 18 and then 21."
But it was Susan Dell, the woman in the red dress, who took the headlines for her appearance.
Susan Dell, wife of Michael Dell, CEO of Dell Technologies, also encouraged American families to register for Trump Accounts, after the couple pledged $6.25 billion to the Trump Accounts, as per Hindustan Times.
Viewers say Susan Dell has ‘Mar-a-Lago’ face
Many of those who have seen pictures and videos of Trump's address noticed Dell's appearance and came up with a name for it, after an ultra-luxurious Palm Beach estate residence and post-presidency headquarters of Donald Trump, Mar-a-Lago.
“Please stop with the Mar-a-Lago face!” one concerned viewer wrote.
Another said: “Mar-A-Lago face is like a virus; it gets them all,” with a third adding: “Susan Dell. Before Mar-a-Lago face, and after.”
Someone claimed: "Her mannerisms [are] like a robot clone."
A fifth admitted: "I was looking at the dress because I thought it was something with that until I looked up and got actually jumpscared."
Others claimed that nobody except Trump looked normal during the Oval Office address.
What is ‘Mar-a-Lago face’?
It's been used extensively on social media recently, but why have people claimed that Dell has 'Mar-a-Lago face'?
According to Dr. Shervin Naderi, the American elite have always looked a certain way; for example, the 'pillow face' in the 2000s, which featured overfilled cheeks and swollen lips.
But in the 2020s, it's Mar-a-Lago Face, as the health professional explained: “The Mar-a-Lago Face represents a new era of American luxury aesthetics—engineered, refined, and designed to project control and affluence.”
Naderi said that it was 'a modern aristocratic mask' that was surgically sculpted to highlight their status and level of control in society.
"It’s not about reversing time. It’s about rewriting the rules of aging," he explained.
The procedures include lifting brows, sculpting cheekbones, tight jawlines, plump polished lips, and smooth skin.
But the main point is that Dell, and others with a similar aesthetic, didn't always look like this.
Who is Susan Dell?
Susan, 61, is the co-founder and board chair of the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, where she has helped guide the foundation's global focus on education, health care, and family economic stability.
Her husband, Michael, 61, founded Dell Computer Corp. from his University of Texas dorm room in 1984 and would transform it into one of the world's largest technology companies.
He remains chairman and CEO of Dell Technologies and is one of the wealthiest business leaders in the US.
