Footage emerges of protester Trump urged to 'go on a diet' as she's 'punched in the face by Trump supporter'
A video has emerged of the heckler being punched in the face by an apparent Trump supporter at a rally where President Donald Trump mocked her weight and told her to "go on a diet".
The 80-year-old was speaking at a rally in Youngstown, Ohio, on Monday (October 12) when he was interrupted by a commotion in the crowd.
Videos showed a woman wearing a "Release the Epstein Files" shirt being shoved and beaten by a man who appeared to be a Trump supporter, as members of the crowd shouted "USA".
Trump mocks the heckler's weight and accuses her of being paid
The man was also seen grabbing the protester by her hair and trying to force her face toward the ground.
Law enforcement eventually stepped in to separate those involved before escorting the woman out of the venue.
As the protestor was being removed, Trump - who appeared to be unaware that the heckler was a woman - accused her of being "paid" before making a series of comments about her weight.
"He's a paid protester," he said. "They’re all paid. They get paid by the lefties in order to destroy our country. They’re scum. But he’s going back home to Mom.
"He’s going back home to Mom. Look at him. Look at him. Terrible. Don’t we love law enforcement? Oh, he’s gotta go on a diet! He’s a fat guy. Wow. Wow. Gotta go on a diet fast. We all do," he added.
The woman's "Release the Epstein Files" shirt drew attention amid ongoing scrutiny of Trump and his justice system's delays in releasing additional documents connected to investigations into the disgraced sex offender.
Trump has repeatedly mocked hecklers at his rallies
The president has a long history of responding directly to hecklers during his speeches, and has repeatedly said they will face punishment or disapproval from their parents once they return home.
Just last month, at a rally in North Carolina, Trump saw a protestor being removed from the crowd and asked: "What do you have, a bad guy or a good guy over there?" per Newsweek.
"Where is he? Who is he? Show it to me. Show him. Let me see his face. Oh, it's a she. Hello. She's going home to mama," he added.
He imagined how the person's mother would react to seeing their daughter removed from the event.
"Her mother is watching right now on television, furious at the daughter. She's going to walk, and she's gonna get the hell… spoken out of her. I won't say," he said.
The comments echoed remarks he made during a rally in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in August, where he again joked that a heckler was "going home to mom, gonna get scolded because mom is voting for us."
Again, Trump made a similar comment during his 2024 presidential campaign at a rally in Coachella, California.
After a female protester was removed from the event, he suggested she would "go back home to mommy" and "get the hell knocked out of her."
