Chilling security footage has revealed the final moments of a skydiver before he plummeted into the front lawn of a Florida home.

As previously reported, authorities in Titusville, Florida, revealed that the lifeless body of a man clad in skydiving attire and gear was discovered in the front yard of a residence on Saturday, just before 12:30PM.

Now, the identity of the skydiver has been revealed.

Frederick Morello, 69, was a seasoned skydiver and a practicing lawyer, who tragically lost his life after his body was discovered on a residential lawn, still adorned with a parachute.

Morello's enthusiasm for skydiving was evident across social media, where he frequently showcased moments of his adrenaline-charged jumps. Per News.com.au, in a dedicated section titled "Fred’s Passion", he poetically shared his love of thrillseeking jumps.

"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away," Morello wrote alongside multiple photographs capturing Morello's skydiving adventures.

James Sconiers, a Titusville local, described the heart-wrenching moment when Morello descended into his front yard. Speaking to WKMG, he recounted his attempts to communicate with the injured skydiver, expressing his dismay when Morello remained unresponsive. "I was asking the person that was laying on the ground, ‘Hey man can you hear me, can you hear me?’ But he did not answer," the resident said.

Security cameras captured the unsettling reflection of Morello's fall in a car's rear window. Describing the impact, Sconiers remarked on how Morello "bounced off the ground 'like a basketball'".

Nicole Lacount, another eyewitness, depicted the grim aftermath. Also speaking with WKMG, she said: "I work in the medical field, and that’s the worst I have ever seen."

Many were baffled by the accident, as Morello was renowned for his emphasis on safety. A fellow skydiver, who had known Morello for over two decades, vouched for his cautious nature, describing him as "the most safety-conscious person" she had ever met.

Preliminary investigations placed the tragic event a block away from Arthur Dunn Airpark, home to the Skydive Space Centre. Currently, it remains uncertain whether Morello was skydiving solo or in a group.

In a somber twist, this tragic incident follows the recent passing of Australian skydiver, Melissa Porter. Reportedly experimenting with a novel skydiving technique, the 29-year-old from Perth had a severe landing on a property, culminating in a shallow water body. Despite immediate medical attention, she was declared dead at the hospital.

Social media platforms have been inundated with heartfelt tributes for Ms. Porter. Nicholas Lott, a close friend, reminisced: "Mel was a magical person who touched the hearts of many people in the 40 countries she visited in her 29 years."

"Those close to her have found great solace in the fact that she passed doing what she truly loved," the tribute added.

Our thoughts go out to the loved ones of both Morello and Porter at this time.
