A forensic expert has reviewed the footage of Renee Good being shot and killed by an ICE agent and has noted an important detail in her tires.
Good, a 37-year-old mother of three, was fatally shot during a confrontation with ICE officers in Minneapolis.
The incident, now the center of a political storm, has divided public opinion and drawn intense scrutiny from both lawmakers and the public.
Forensic Expert Reviews The Footage
In a widely viewed online review of the footage, forensic analyst Dr. G Explains zeroes in on Good’s body language and the position of her hands moments before she was shot.
The YouTube expert walks viewers through her movements, noting what he believes are deliberate actions by Good in the seconds before the shooting.
According to Dr. G, Good turned her steering wheel to the left, indicating she was “preparing for action... preparing to leave.” In support of this reading, he points out that her tires are pointing to the left in the video.
Dr. G also highlights that her brake and reverse lights are on, which he interprets as a sign she was ready to escape the scene at the first opportunity.
While acknowledging that a surge of adrenaline was likely coursing through her, the expert says Good appeared calm and composed, with her “full intent ... to leave the situation.”
Later on in the video, Dr. G acknowledges that while Good's tires were initially pointed at the ICE agent, she turned sharply to the right to avoid him and escape the situation.
Ultimately, Dr. G believes that Good had no intention of harming the ICE agent.
Renee Good's Glove Compartment
At a recent House Judiciary Committee hearing, Representative Eric Swalwell shared a detail that sharply contradicts earlier characterizations of Good.
Describing images taken from Good’s glove compartment, Swalwell made a personal appeal that underscored the tragedy.
“She had a baby to go home to,” he told committee members. “A six‑year‑old who is now orphaned, who lost his father two years ago.”
Swalwell emphasized what the contents of that compartment revealed.
He said it “resembles the glove compartments of many parents across the country” — filled with ordinary items like stuffed animals rather than weapons.
“Not a terrorist,” he declared, pushing back against narratives used to justify the shooting.
The congressman also directly addressed those defending the agent’s actions.
“You want to root on, and cheer for her being shot in the face three times?” he asked.
Trump Team, DHS Weigh In in Defense of ICE Agent
The ICE officer who fired the shots has been identified as Jonathon Ross, and he’s drawing vocal support from members of the Trump administration.
At a press briefing, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem defended Ross’s actions, characterizing the incident as “an act of domestic terrorism” while also framing the shooting as self‑defense.
Noem went further by saying she is “not opposed” to deploying more federal agents to Minneapolis in the wake of the incident.
She also leveled accusations against Good, alleging that she was “following and harassing” agents and that she “used her vehicle as a weapon” in an alleged attempt to run over the officer who ultimately shot her.
