The final letter that Jeffrey Epstein allegedly sent from his prison cell before his death made a shocking claim about US President Donald Trump.
The letter, which never reached its destination, was intended for another disgraced and imprisoned man, Larry Nassar.
Alleged letter between Jeffrey Epstein and Larry Nassar names Donald Trump
While Epstein was in prison in 2019, it seems as if he decided to contact another abuser, Larry Nassar, who was a serial sex offender who worked as the team doctor for the United States women’s gymnastics team between 1996 and 2014.
He was imprisoned for 60 years in the largest sexual abuse scandal in sports history in 2017, meaning he will likely spend the rest of his life behind bars.
As is implied in this letter, released as part of the Epstein files that contain many celebrities, including Trump, Epstein also knew he would spend the rest of his life behind bars, just a much shorter time.
The letter makes a shocking claim about the President
The letter reads: “Dear L. N.
“As you know by now, I have taken the ‘short route’ home.
“Good luck! We shared one thing… our love & caring for young ladies at the hope they'd reach their full potential.
“Our president shares our love of young, nubile girls.
“When a young beauty walked by he loved to ‘grab snatch,’ whereas we ended up snatching grub in the mess halls of the system.”
It concludes: “Life is unfair. Yours, J. Epstein”
This letter - which was sent for handwriting tests by the FBI but no results are available - appears to imply that Epstein was aggrieved that Trump was in the Oval Office while he and Nassar were in prison.
The letter, which is unverified and contains nothing that is a direct implication of guilt for President Trump or anyone else, was posted in Data Set 8 of the Epstein files, before disappearing shortly - like a few notable files - before reappearing again under a different name.
The envelope of the letter reveals that it was returned to sender.
Other documents within the files indicate that Epstein did indeed send a letter to Nassar in the days before his death, which was controversial in itself, although this is the first time the contents of that alleged letter have been seen.
What can we learn from this letter?
The letter is of unconfirmed provenance, although the documents appear to support the idea that Jeffrey Epstein did attempt to contact Nassar from his prison cell.
Again, the letter makes shocking allegations about President Trump, but contains nothing that could not be inaccurate or simply false - Epstein was a convicted pedophile and criminal, and could easily have been lying.
As previously stated, the letter appears to have been sent for handwriting analysis, but it is not clear whether a conclusion was ever reached.
The claims, therefore, are not substantiated, and we only have the released document, the envelope, and other documents within the files to work with.
