Former Vice President Joe Biden has managed to raise more than $3.8 million in a space of a mere hour, after last night's debate against Donald Trump.
According to a report by CNN, the Democrat presidential candidate managed to raise the considerable sum between the hours of 10 and 11 pm last night.
Commenting on the result in a later press statement, deputy campaign manager, and communications director for the Biden campaign Kate Bedingfield stated that the former Veep is committed to participating in further debates, stating:
"Joe Biden's gonna show up. He's gonna continue speaking directly to the American people. The next debate is a town hall format where real voters are going to have the chance to engage the candidate.
She continued:
"Biden obviously relishes any opportunity to talk directly to real voters, that’s something that he prioritizes doing on the campaign trail ... we think the opportunity for Biden's address the American people directly as is powerful."

When pushed on the subject of the famously verbally-combative current president, Bedingfield added that:
"[Biden] expressed regret that the President of the United States chooses to conduct himself this way on the national stage and on the international stage."
Indeed, Biden didn't mince words when dealing with Trump during the debate, getting so frustrated with the Republican leader that at one point he snapped: "Would you shut up, man?"
Trump was not to be deterred, however, and mocked Biden for his frequent appearances in public wearing a mask, stating:
“I don't wear a mask like [Biden], every time you see him, he's got a mask. He could be speaking 200 feet away from it, and he shows up with the biggest mask I've seen.”
Biden responded dismissively to Trump's criticism of his mask-wearing, stating that the President's ambiguity over the issue of face-coverings had cost precious American lives.
