Marjorie Taylor Greene has spoken out against Donald Trump after he withdrew support because she called for the Epstein files to be released.
The heated clash erupted just days before the House is set to vote on a bill requiring the Department of Justice to release its files related to Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier who died by suicide in a New York jail cell in 2019.
Greene, one of only four Republicans to sign a discharge petition forcing the vote, posted a text she said triggered Trump’s fury, and she’s not backing down.

Greene Reveals What Sent Trump "Over the edge"
On Friday night (November 14), the 79-year-old unleashed a scathing post about Greene on Truth Social.
“I am withdrawing my support and endorsement of ‘Congresswoman’ Marjorie Taylor Greene, of the great state of Georgia,” he said. “All I see ‘Wacky’ Marjorie do is COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN!" adding: "I can’t take a ranting Lunatic’s call every day".
He said the “wonderful, Conservative people” in Georgia are ready to primary her and called out her appearance on The View, writing: “She has gone Far Left, even doing The View, with their Low IQ Republican hating Anchors.”
The 51-year-old responded to Trump's attack on X, posting a screenshot of a text message she says she sent to him earlier that day.
“President Trump just attacked me and lied about me. I haven’t called him at all, but I did send these text messages today. Apparently, this is what sent him over the edge. The Epstein files," she penned.
She accused the 79-year-old of using her as an example “to scare all the other Republicans before next week's vote to release the Epstein files," and questioned why he’s fighting so hard against the release.
“It’s astonishing really how hard he’s fighting to stop the Epstein files from coming out,” she wrote. "But really, most Americans wish he would fight this hard to help the forgotten men and women of America who are fed up with foreign wars and foreign causes, are going broke trying to feed their families, and are losing hope of ever achieving the American dream."
She also posted what appeared to be a response from someone named “Natalie,” possibly Trump aide Natalie Harp, who replied to her message with: “THE JEFFREY EPSTEIN HOAX.”
Greene replied that she’s always said Trump “did nothing wrong,” but that “the raping of teenage girls is not a hoax.”

New Epstein emails add fuel to the fire
The public fight comes in the wake of a bombshell document release: more than 20,000 pages of emails from Epstein’s estate, obtained by the House Oversight Committee. And they include multiple mentions of Trump.
In one 2017 exchange with former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, Epstein wrote: “I have met some very bad people - none as bad as Trump. Not one decent cell in his body… so yes—dangerous.”
In a 2019 email to journalist Michael Wolff, the late financier also claimed, “Trump said he asked me to resign, never a member ever. Of course he knew about the girls as he asked Ghislaine to stop.”
And, another 2011 email to Ghislaine Maxwell appeared to reference a redacted victim who spent “hours” with Trump at Epstein’s house. “That dog that hasn’t barked is Trump,” Epstein wrote. Maxwell replied: “I have been thinking about that...”
The Trump team has aggressively denied all implications from the emails. Press secretary Karoline Leavitt dismissed the emails as a “Democrat hoax,” arguing the “unnamed victim” was the late Virginia Giuffre, who has said Trump “was not involved in any wrongdoing whatsoever and 'couldn’t have been friendlier' to her in their limited interactions".
Spokesperson Abigail Jackson echoed that sentiment, telling PEOPLE: “These emails prove literally nothing. Liberal outlets are desperately trying to use this Democrat distraction to talk about anything other than Democrats getting utterly defeated by President Trump in the shutdown fight.”
Despite the denials, Greene says she stands firm. “I have supported President Trump with too much of my precious time, too much of my own money, and fought harder for him even when almost all other Republicans turned their back and denounced him,” she wrote. “But I don’t worship or serve Donald Trump.
“I worship God, Jesus is my savior, and I serve my district GA14 and the American people," she concluded.
