The mother of 16 children who were rescued from a squalid home in Ohio appears to be pregnant again at her latest court appearance.
As previously reported, 16 children aged between 18 months and 18 years old, were discovered and rescued after spending at least four years “kept in worse conditions than livestock” in June.
The children's father, Gary Siders Jr., 36, mother Elizabeth Siders, 33, and grandparents Gary Siders Sr., 73, and Christina Siders, 77, were arrested and charged with 16 counts of child endangerment, with all four pleading not guilty.
Elizabeth appeared in court on Wednesday over allegations that she and her husband had sexually abused a minor who was not one of their children, per The US Sun.
In footage shared by WBNS 10TV, Elizabeth was see walking into court for her arraignment, wearing orange prison clothing as she cradled what appeared to be a bump.
She pleaded not guilty to two counts of sexual battery and two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
These charges are not related to her chidlren and are separate from the child endangerment case against her, and are partly how the 16 children were discovered in the home, which was named the 'Ohio house of horrors' due to the conditions they were kept in.
Authorities allege Elizabeth and her husband, Gary Siders Jr., engaged in sexual conduct with the minor between January and September 2022, with the alleged victim being over 10 years younger than the couple at the time, per the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.
Elizabeth pleaded not guilty, and prosecutors asked for her bond to be set at $250,000 during Wednesday’s hearing at Vinton County Courthouse, though a judge has yet to confirm the amount.
She remains behind bars, and has already been held on a $300,000 bond over the separate child endangerment case.
Gary Jr. received an additional $250,000 bond when he pleaded not guilty to the same four sex charges last month, meaning his combined bond is $550,000.
The couple, and Gary Jr.'s parents, were arrested in June as part of a larger investigation that began in December 2025, when the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation’s Special Victims Unit began investigating allegations that two children had been sexually abused.
That investigation led to charges against Josh Saunders, 23, who was was later indicted on three counts of rape and one count of gross sexual imposition, and Brandon Henderson Sr., 40, who was indicted on 21 counts, including sexual battery, gross sexual imposition, and child endangerment.
Information discovered during that investigation led to a second probe being opened in March, regarding allegations of unlawful sexual conduct with another minor, which led to the Siders.
While executing a search warrant at the family's property on June 30, police were horrified to discover the couple's 16 children living in appalling conditions in the rural home.
The children had allegedly been confined to a cramped room which was contaminated with human waste, and several of them needed treatment in hospital after being removed from the property.
Investigators added that some of the children also had limited ability to communicate and appeared almost "feral".
Elizabeth's attorney, Thomas Stolley, had previously sought to have her released from jail, arguing she had no criminal history and wanted to be reunited with her children.
However, the request was opposed by prosecutors, who argues that she could be a flight risk and a potential risk to the alleged victims.
