‘Most trusted man in America’ among names in newly released Epstein flight logs
On Friday, October 17, 2025, the House Oversight Committee released more documents detailing flight logs from Jeffrey Epstein's private plane.
These newly disclosed logs, part of an ongoing investigation into Epstein's activities, have once again put the spotlight on the financier’s connections to influential figures.
Epstein, a financier and convicted sex offender, was arrested in 2019 on charges of sex trafficking minors.
He was found dead in his prison cell that same year, with his death officially ruled a suicide. Over the years, many prominent individuals have been linked to Epstein, and the release of these flight logs has raised more questions about their involvement, with several high-profile names appearing in the documents.
While being listed in Epstein's flight records does not imply wrongdoing or knowledge of his illegal activities, the connections have led to significant public scrutiny. The public’s focus is not only on the victims but also on the powerful network that Epstein allegedly maintained for years.
Among the names now revealed is a legendary broadcaster, often referred to as one of the most trusted figures in American media.

One of the names listed in the newly revealed flight logs is that of Walter Cronkite, the iconic CBS broadcaster who anchored the CBS Evening News from 1962 to 1981, the MailOnline reports.
Cronkite was widely regarded for his impartial and trustworthy journalism, earning him the title of "the most trusted man in America" during his career, particularly after his coverage of the Vietnam War and the Kennedy assassination.
The flight log records show that he was aboard a flight from Newark, New Jersey, to St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands on January 12, 2007. There are no allegations of wrongdoing associated with Cronkite in the documents.

Other notable figures appear in Epstein’s logs
Other prominent figures have also been linked to Epstein over the years, including Prince Andrew, Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and Elon Musk.
While their names have appeared in the flight logs, none of them have been charged with crimes related to Epstein’s activities based on the available records.
These flight logs are just one piece of the puzzle in the larger investigation into Epstein’s network, which also includes legal cases against his former partner, Ghislaine Maxwell, and the release of various testimonies and documents. Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year sentence for her role in Epstein's crimes.
The release of these documents continues to stir public and legal attention, with many continuing to search for a full understanding of Epstein's extensive network and the figures connected to it.
