Warning: This article contains discussion of sexual assault, which some readers may find distressing.
A white New York Police Department precinct commander who was suspended after being accused of groping a black female officer allegedly made a crude comment towards her.
The order was made against Inspector Jeremy Scheublin earlier this week, according to official documents.
They revealed that the inspector allegedly told the underling: "I want to make biracial babies with you."
This disciplinary action was taken four months after it was reported by The New York Post that he was sued by a female officer in Bronx Supreme Court.
She alleged that he harassed her and forced himself on her in his office, and spoke to the publication in March, going by N.L., claiming that she'd tried to avoid being alone with Scheublin for over a year.
This was due to some alleged "creepy" comments he made at the NYPD’s 46th Precinct stationhouse, located in Fordham Heights, the Bronx.
Back on January 1, 2025, Scheublin, who was also the precinct's commanding officer, called N.L. to his office.
There, he allegedly grabbed her butt, lifted her off the ground, and threw her onto what is eerily known as the "casting couch" in his office, according to the officer.
N.L., a 34-year-old mother of two, claimed: “He scoops me up, and then he slams me on the couch; now he's on top of me," which she also alleged in the lawsuit.
She then said that he tried to force her to kiss him, but she fought him off.
Speaking to the publication, she added: “I got my hands up to cover my mouth, and he’s trying to kiss me on my mouth,” even turning her head to avoid his lips.
This is when her superior allegedly made the "biracial babies" comment, as the officer claimed she got out of the compromising position, and kicked him "in the groin," yelling at him to “Chill the f**k out!”
The suit also read: “[She] believed Scheublin, who was wearing his service weapon, would rape her if she didn’t fight him off.”
Scheublin, who filed for retirement in June - a process which usually takes months, was suspended on Tuesday (June 30).
His lawyer said that Scheublin was retiring "to concentrate on addressing the hurtful and false allegations in the lawsuit.”
“America is the greatest country, where any disgruntled worker with an ax to grind, can sue the city and make the most outrageous claims for monetary gain,” he added.
The officer immediately reported the incident to the department's Internal Affairs Bureau, according to reports.
Allegations in the suit involve Scheublin stopping the officer after a meeting and saying: "I do not know whether I should smack or kiss you," as per the New York Times.
N.L. blocked the officer's number and swerved the precinct's holiday party as she felt uncomfortable in his presence, the complaint stated.
She added in the complaint that after telling the Internal Affairs Bureau about the alleged assault, the 24-year veteran allegedly responded by placing her on late-night shifts starting at 3AM and changing partners.
It was reported by the Times that in March, Scheublin was placed on modified duty soon after he was sued in Bronx Supreme Court, being stripped of his badge and gun.
John Scola, the lawyer representing N.L., took aim at the NYPD for failing to take action and allowing Scheublin to stay in a position of power for over a year after her report.
He explained: “Our client had the courage to report the assault immediately, but the NYPD lacked the courage to remove Inspector Scheublin from full duty even after referring the case for criminal investigation.”
Speaking to People, Scheublin's lawyer, Oliver Storch stated that his client aims to "address all accusations in the appropriate forum and asks the public to withhold judgment until conclusion of the process.”

An NYPD officer was suspended yesterday, (October 25) after footage emerged of him defiantly repeating, "Trump 2020" on his patrol car's loudspeaker while on duty in Brooklyn.
As reported by BuzzFeed News, the officer in question was not identified by the NYPD, but the department did reveal that he had been suspended without pay.
This was the moment President Donald Trump said there was something "very beautiful" about watching protesters being "pushed around":

"The police officer who is under investigation for using a department vehicle’s loudspeaker for political purposes has been suspended, effective immediately," the NYPD tweeted yesterday afternoon.
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/NYPDnews/status/1320449207258537986]]
"When you wear our uniform it is imperative to remain apolitical," NYPD Chief Terence Monahan tweeted. "Behavior like this will not be tolerated and will be dealt with."

The department began an investigation into the incident yesterday after two videos emerged online the previous day, showing the officer repeating the mantra.
In one of the videos, shared by Twitter user Brandon Hines, the cop is heard saying:
"Trump 2020. Put it on YouTube, put it on Facebook. Trump 2020. Take a picture, take a picture, take a video. Put it on your Facebook, put it in your YouTube. Have some fun."

According to the NYPD's official policy, officers are prohibited from "endorsing political candidates or publicly expressing personal views and opinions concerning the merits of any political party or candidate for public office" while on duty or in uniform.
Journalist Talia Jane shared another video that was filmed by an unidentified man:
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/itsa_talia/status/1320197887071051776]]
The man, according to Jane, had shown the patrol car his middle finger as it was blocking a crosswalk. This was when an officer in the passenger seat yelled expletives at the man.
Following an argument, the officer allegedly showed the man his middle finger. It was then that an officer on the driver's side yelled "Trump 2020" and threatened to arrest the man for blocking traffic.
[[twitterwidget||https://twitter.com/itsa_talia/status/1320197887071051776]]
The man briefly left the site, but when he came back, the officer used the patrol car's speaker to say "Trump 2020", following an antagonistic interaction between the pair.
"Do it again," the man can be heard telling the officer.
"What... you can't say 'Trump 2020' now you f**king p***y? Say it again," the man tells the officer.
"Trump 2020," the officer says again.
"Go f**k yourself, you f**king fascist," the man tells the officer.

It's an unfortunate fact that African-Americans are often the victims of unjust harassment and intolerance, and recently on social media, a disturbing trend has gain prevalence - namely scenes of suspicious white people calling the cops on innocent black people for no apparent reason. Over the last year we've seen a pharmacy manager call the police because a black woman tried to use a coupon, a woman who harassed a black teen selling candy, and another white woman caught on video attacking a black teenager at a public pool.
Indeed, social media has made it easier for people of colour to record these incidents and then prosecute their abusers for harassment and assault. These acts of bullying aggression have always been a feature of life for minorities, and we're only just beginning to get a sense of the scale of the problem.

The most recent example of this kind of deplorable behaviour came from the town of Charlotte in North Carolina. Sisters Leisa and Chele Garris had suffered a breakdown on the road while driving and were waiting in a parking lot for a representative from the automobile association to assist them. However, they were accosted by a white woman who lived in the nearby Camden Fairview apartment complex, who taunted and berated them before warning them that she carried a concealed firearm.
She stated: "Hi, how are you? I'm hot, I'm beautiful. I'm 51, and what are we going to talk about tonight? Being hot? Being beautiful? Being white? ... This is Myers Park, SouthPark, B*tch. Why are you up in here hanging out? Do you live here? Why do we feel that we need to be here like hanging out? Let's call 911. I want to make sure there's nothing going on here. I make $125,000 a year and I want to make sure that you're all up in here. Girl, girl, girl. I'm white. I'm girl white. I'm white." Shocked, Chele and Leisa recorded the harassment and uploaded the damning footage to Facebook, where it quickly went viral.

As a result, the woman (later identified as Susan Westwood) was later sacked from her job at cable company Spectrum Enterprise. In a later press statement, the company claimed: "The incident recorded in Charlotte is a blatant violation of Charter’s code of conduct and clearly disregards the company’s commitment to inclusion and respectful behaviour. As such, Ms Westwood’s employment with the company has been terminated, effective immediately."
Westwood has now apparently turned herself into the police after being served with outstanding warrants over the weekend by local law enforcement. A mugshot of her in police custody is currently doing the rounds on social media, and an officer at the Brunswick County Sheriff's Department has confirmed that Westwood has since been released, but has not relayed any information to the press about whether or not she was charged.

A rookie police officer from Detroit has been terminated from his position after allegedly posting what was considered to be "racially charged" content on Snapchat.
Sean Bostwick, who is 27 years old, had only been on the force for about 18 months at the time of the incident, but his superior officers did not want to take any chances in letting him continue working for the department.
The offending content was a selfie taken by Bostwick, accompanied by the caption: "Another night to Rangel [sic] up these zoo animals".
In a different context, such a statement might not have been taken as racist. However, seeing as the city of Detroit is approximately 80 per cent black, the sentiment was considered to be overtly offensive towards people of colour. This, coupled with the large amount of racist accusations levelled at US police officers in recent years, prompted senior officers to fire Bostwick immediately.
"He was terminated," Police Chief James Craig said during a press conference on Monday. "This is his last day on our payroll. Tomorrow, he will no longer be a Detroit police officer. He is clear on that."
The incident happened on Saturday, and Bostwick was challenged over it very shortly afterwards. He apparently accepted that the message was offensive, and agreed to take it off of social media. By that point, however, it had already been screencapped and had spread around Instagram.
The officer met with the police chief on Monday morning and was informed that he was being let go from the Detroit PD.
"This is not reflective of this department," Craig insisted at the conference. "We expect a high level of professionalism when we're serving the public."
He also added that Bostwick acknowledged his mistake. "He took responsibility for it. He admitted that he did this. He said he didn't mean it the way it came off."
The incident is yet another blight on the police force's record, with 2018 being yet another year in which white police officers have verbally or physically attacked racial minorities.
Just earlier this week, in fact, it was announced that police officer Amber Guyger had been fired from Dallas PD following the fatal shooting of an unarmed black man named Botham Jean. The killing occurred on September 6th, when Guyger entered Jean's apartment after allegedly believing it was her own.
Jean was 26 years old. Guyger was not arrested until three days later.
In this particular instance of racial abuse, however, the matter was dealt with in a prompt manner because Bostwick was still on probation. If he had been a member of the force for a long time, the situation may have been very different.
Nevertheless, the rookie officer could still be taken on by a different police department - but Police Chief Craig hopes this isn't the case.
"I think any department that hires him will be concerned about this post," he said. "I don't think any city would want to take a chance or risk, but that's between him and a potential employer."
Regardless of what else he goes on to do, Bostwick will have hopefully learnt his lesson from this experience.

An investigation has been launched after a police officer was filmed getting into the back of his cruiser and kissing another woman, which his wife has described as "painful".
The Prince George's County Police Department has launched a comprehensive investigation into the actions of Officer Francesco Marlett, following a TikTok video that went viral, gathering over 2.4 million views.
Responding to the widespread public attention, a woman claiming to be the officer's wife took to Facebook to address the incident.
Paula Marlett asked viewers for their understanding, saying: "We need the support, the love, and most of all, the respect from the community and our families," as reported by FOX5. She acknowledged: "Yes, I know what's been going on."
She added that she wouldn't be supplying further updates while revealing: "Yes this is a very tough time for me and my kids. As embarrassing and painful as this is please check in on us."
The video that sparked the controversy shows Officer Marlett seemingly engaged in a romantic encounter with a woman just before they entered a PGCPD cruiser, parked near a local park in the Oxon Hill neighborhood of Southlawn.
The Prince George's County Police Department swiftly responded to the public outcry. In a statement released on X (formerly known as Twitter), the department stated: "As soon as we became aware earlier today, we opened an investigation to determine the circumstances."
They added: "Additional information will be released once investigated and confirmed."
Subsequently, the department announced that Officer Marlett's "police powers are now suspended as the investigation continues."
Nelson Ochoa, the person who recorded the viral video, recounted the incident to NBC Washington, explaining that he began filming when he saw the officer arrive in his vehicle on Labor Day. "As soon as I started recording, a car pulled up, and a young lady came out," he said.
He detailed how the pair entered the cruiser and, after approximately 40 minutes, departed in separate directions. "We couldn't believe what we were seeing, and what really made us go, 'Wow, this is crazy,' is when the car started rocking a little bit to the left and right. That's when we were like, this is crazy. In broad daylight with kids around," he added.
According to reports from FOX5, Officer Marlett faced suspension without pay in 2016 after being accused of assaulting his girlfriend's three-year-old child to the point of unconsciousness. Ultimately, the charges were dropped, and his record was expunged.
Regarding the situation, Prince George's County Police Chief Malik Aziz said, via FOX 5: "As part of its investigation, the Internal Affairs Division is attempting to interview all parties involved as well as citizens with knowledge of the interactions.
"IAD encourages those with knowledge to please assist with the investigation by speaking with detectives. Your information could play a key role in helping us determine exactly what happened and taking appropriate action.
"I know the officer’s actions seen on these videos have sparked a range of emotions in the community and put a negative spotlight on this agency and the many hard-working women and men who wear our uniform.
"I expect every officer to conduct themselves in a way that will not dishonor this agency or this county. I assure the residents of Prince George’s County I take this matter extremely seriously," he concluded.

Footage has emerged of a white woman calling the police on a black woman in New York City.
The woman, believed to be a socialite in the New York City and Hamptons circuit, was recorded calling the police on a black woman on the Upper West Side, for seemingly sitting in a public area.
Instagram user, @_brownsugarbaby uploaded the videos of her exchange with Flom, who reportedly co-owns Maison Vivienne, a French restaurant with locations in Southampton and the Upper East Side, and a now-defunct lifestyle blog, Art de Fete.
Watch the footage below:
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/CA0y00hFf2b/]]
Flom, who is heavily pregnant, can be seen telling law enforcement officials on the phone that the black woman was "playing the black card" and "attacking her". According to the Instagram user who uploaded the series of clips, The woman approached her because she was "alarmed" by the fact that she was "sitting comfortably in her neighborhood."
The Black woman was purportedly sitting on a bench in a public outdoor area, before she was interrupted by the New York socialite.
In the footage, a man, who the African-American woman identified as the white woman's husband, can be seen walking away from the exchange. The incident allegedly lasted for over an hour, and the woman in question can be seen calling the police several times.
"From 6:15pm - 7:31pm this [woman] felt the need to not only approach me but call the cops MULTIPLE TIMES ON ME!!," the Instagram user captioned the post.
"She was too “Alarmed” that I was sitting “comfortably” in “her neighborhood!” The first call was because she THOUGHT I was smoking in public.. but by the 3rd call, it was bcuz I was “threatening her & her children !!” While giving my description, she exaggerated her story & made it seem like I was the aggressor. “THIS AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMAN IS ATTACKING ME AND MY CHILDREN!” She had tears that were off & on & she stated things like “She’s pulling the black card!” Then wanted me to walk to the boys w/ her [...] I probably could have just walked away!! I probably should have kept my mouth shut right ?! NAHHH!! I couldn’t understand why she was so mad ! Like ummmm first of alllll I pay alllll mine over here Miss Lady !! [...] How you come over here just feeling sooooo privileged & soooo comfortable enough to tell me I should leave ?! You’re buggin !! NOT THIS ONE!! She wanted to be a victim soooo bad!! NOT ONE PERSON CAME TO HER AID!! MULTIPLE PPL witnessed the ordeal & just wanted to make sure I was ok! SHARE THESE VIDEOS AS MANY TIMES AS POSSIBLE !! [sic]."
Ultimately, the police appeared on the scene, and decided not to escalate the situation.
In the comments section of her post, the Instagram user said that one officer just walked off from her, while another informed the caller that there was nothing to be done.
This comes after the death of George Floyd, an African-American man, who was arrested by Minneapolis police on Monday, May 25th, for reportedly using a counterfeit $20 note in a store. While being detained, Derek Chauvin - a 19 year veteran of the force - knelt on his neck for eight minutes, which resulted in him losing consciousness, and later passing away.
Protests, both peaceful and violent, have since broken out across the country, with people calling for the end of police brutality, and racial injustice in America and the western world writ large.
