Oprah Winfrey has stated neither The Queen nor Prince Philip were the members of the Royal Family to voice their "concerns" over the skin color of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's unborn child.
The announcement comes after the presenter's groundbreaking interview with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, in which Meghan alleged that there were several "concerns and conversations about how dark his [Archie's] skin might be when he was born".
According to People, 67-year-old Winfrey clarified this point when discussing the fall-out of the interview on CBS This Morning on Monday, March 8, along with co-host Gayle King.
King stated: "There's a big guessing game all around the world: 'Who was it, who was it, who was it?' I thought it was very touching that Harry still is choosing to protect the identity of whoever that was."
Meanwhile, Oprah herself stated:
"[Harry] did not share the identity with me. But he wanted to make sure that I knew, and if I had an opportunity to share it, that it was not his grandmother, nor his grandfather that were part of those conversations.
"He did not tell me who [was] a part of those conversations. As you could see, I tried to get that answer, on-camera and off."
According to CNN, Meghan Markle stated that an unnamed member of the Royal household spoke to Harry privately about the skin color of their then-unborn son, Archie.
During the two-hour interview - which aired on CBS on Sunday, March 7 - the former Suits actress claimed that there were "concerns and conversations" within the Royal Family regarding the skin tone of their unborn child.
A visibly taken-aback Winfrey asked Meghan, "Who is having that conversation with you?"
Meghan then clarified that there were "several conversations" with Harry.
Once again seeking an explanation, Winfrey asked: "There's a conversation [...] about how dark your baby is going to be?"
Meghan responded: "Potentially, and what that would mean or look like."
"That was relayed to me from Harry. Those were conversations that family had with him," Meghan added, but declined to reveal who was involved in those conversations, saying that it would "be very damaging to them".
Later in the interview, Harry joined his wife, and was asked by Winfrey for more details.

"That conversation, I am never going to share," Harry said. "At the time, it was awkward, I was a bit shocked."
When Oprah asked if Harry was willing to share the questions posed during the above conversation, he declined, claiming: "I'm not comfortable with sharing that."
However, Harry did clarify that those conversations were "right at the beginning" of his relationship with Meghan.
