Following the death of his wife, a pastor who announced the tragic news to his congregation reportedly attempted to raise her from the dead.

Mica Miller, 30, was discovered on April 27 in Lumber River State Park with a gunshot wound to the side of her head, as initially reported.

Robeson County Medical Examiner Dr. Richard Johnson shed light on the circumstances surrounding her death, ruling that she died by suicide.

Addressing concerns regarding Mica's passing, the Robeson County Sheriff's Office released a statement on Facebook, promising further details to support the medical examiner's findings.

"Sheriff Burnis Wilkins has scheduled a meeting with the family of Mica and will be releasing more detailed information to substantiate the medical examiner findings tomorrow evening," the statement read.

John-Paul Miller, pastor of Solid Rock Church in Myrtle Beach, made the revelation during a service on April 28, where he shared the tragic news of his wife Mica Miller's passing.

Recounting the moment he received the devastating call the night before, Miller told worshippers that Mica's death was "self-induced", per PEOPLE.

A video emerged of Pastor Miller informing his congregation about his wife's passing.

Sharing the heartbreaking news, he said: "I got a call late last night, my wife has passed away. It was self-induced and it was up in North Carolina."

Despite Mica's struggles with suicidal thoughts, Pastor Miller expressed faith in divine intervention, stating: "She battled suicide but God took care of her and got her through it."

Despite their ongoing separation proceedings, Pastor Miller paid homage to his late wife at Solid Rock Church in early May.

During the eulogy, shared on YouTube, Miller shared intimate moments spent with Mica's body in the days following her death, revealing: "Each time, it still didn't hit me. I thought she was gonna wake up. I even tried to raise her from the dead one time this week."

Although he did not elaborate on the method of his attempt, Miller recounted a poignant encounter at a mall where he mistook a woman resembling Mica for her. "I thought I raised her from the dead... I can't wait to see her again one day," he expressed.

In the wake of Mica's death, her friends and family demanded a thorough investigation amidst what they deemed as "false stories" circulating.

Robeson County Sheriff Burnis Wilkins addressed the concerns, asserting that the evidence in her death is "quite clear and compelling."

Reports suggest a strained relationship between Mica and Pastor Miller, with divorce proceedings initiated and allegations of abuse emerging.

Prior to her passing, Mica shared a poignant video on Facebook addressing the issue of abuse, extending support to people experiencing it in their own lives.

The New York Post reported the release of Mica's 911 call by authorities to quell speculations surrounding her death.

During the call on April 27, Mica conveyed her intention to end her life and requested authorities to trace her phone to her location in a wooded area, where she was later discovered deceased.

In the call, Mica urgently pleaded for emergency services to trace her phone's location, providing details of her whereabouts at the national park.
