The husband of Lindsay Clancy has revealed a harrowing conversation the couple had after she allegedly killed their three children.
The mom-of-three is accused of killing her children before attempting to take her own life, with her defense claiming she was dealing with postpartum psychosis at the time of the tragic incident.
Lindsay’s murder trial, which has fascinated true crime fans across the world, did not come to a unanimous verdict; it ended in a mistrial on September 4, and prosecutors have not yet decided whether to retry her or not.
The 36-year-old mother has been accused of killing her three children before jumping out of a window in January 2023. The Massachusetts mom allegedly strangled her kids, Cora, five; Dawson, three; and eight-month-old Callan, before throwing herself out of a second-story window in an attempt to take her own life.
Her ex-husband, Patrick Clancy, has now spoken out about the fateful day in an interview with 60 Minutes, in which he revealed that he returned home after running errands to find his wife lying in their garden after jumping from the window.
He told CBS News correspondent Ross Douthat: “I asked her if she remembered it.
"She said it was like a dream and she remembered much in the way you would remember a dream after waking up."
Recalling the gut-wrenching moment he found his children in the basement, where Cora and Dawson were already dead and Callan was fighting for his life before being airlifted to hospital, Patrick said: "I really thought there was a chance that Callan would live.
"I remember just thinking, 'Just give me one. Just give me one kid, and I would raise him as best I could, and I would give him the best life I possibly could. I'd tell him about his brother and sister.' And I was holding out hope for that."
Heartbreakingly, Callan died four days later in hospital.
Describing the moment, Patrick added: "I got to hold him. I got to lay down next to him. And he died in my arms.”

Addressing cruel rumors and conspiracy theories online, Patrick said: "It's painful to see. And it makes it difficult to be in public, and it's possible that some of those people, after seeing lie after lie after lie, they start to believe it and that's what we're left with.”
Lindsay, who survived, now requires a wheelchair and has not denied strangling her children, though she claims she was suffering from undiagnosed postpartum psychosis.
