A twisted criminal is facing charges of necrophilia after surveillance footage allegedly caught him forcing entry into a morgue and engaging in sexual acts with dead bodies.
Fenris Lu, 31, reportedly used a crowbar to enter the Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office in Arizona, where he had sex with four corpses and tampered with 11 body bags.
Despite the multiple charges faced by Lu, he did not attend the court proceedings as he was labelled as dangerous and classed as a threat to the public and himself.
He is currently detained at Lower Buckeye Jail in Phoenix, Arizona, and has been set at a $500,000 bond.
The five felony charges are third-degree burglary, criminal damage/defacement, second-degree escape from felony custody, possession of burglary tools, and sexual conduct with a dead person.
Reportedly, cops have not yet informed the families of the deceased people he violated.
A spokesperson explained: "The state's been informed by law enforcement investigating this case that they need a little bit of time to make notification to the next of kin for the decedents in this matter, and they'd also like a little bit of time to assess the potential impact to possibly other criminal cases in which the decedent may have been associated.
"Law enforcement is currently looking into were the decedents involved in other criminal cases and perhaps were the defendant's actions possibly compromised any evidence as far as any other investigations go."
According to reports, authorities said Lu was apprehended "without incident" in a police statement.
The statement said: "Maricopa County Security Services and the Phoenix Police Department were already on scene and assisted in securing the facility. During a subsequent search of the building, one individual was located and ultimately taken into custody without incident."
A sheriff's office spokesperson said in an official statement, "We want to acknowledge the coordinated response and ongoing collaboration between the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, Maricopa County Security Services, and the Phoenix Police Department.
"The professionalism and partnership demonstrated by all agencies involved have been critical in ensuring the scene was safely secured, and the investigation could proceed efficiently.
“Out of respect for those potentially impacted and to protect the integrity of the investigation, no additional details are being released at this time."
