Wild conspiracy suggests Trump's son Barron is a time traveler as baffling photo emerges
A strange conspiracy theory suggesting that Donald Trump's son Barron is a time traveler has exploded online.
The theory centers around Baron Trump's Marvelous Underground Journey, a children's book written in 1893 by political author Ingersoll Lockwood.
The story follows a rich young aristocrat named Baron Trump, who lives in "Castle Trump" and goes on a bizarre journey to Russia with the help of a mysterious man named "Don".
The similarities between the fictional character and Trump's youngest son have sparked years of online speculation, with some people claiming the Trump family somehow has access to time travel technology.
Lara Trump Shuts Down Theory
The rumors became so widespread that Lara Trump directly addressed them during an episode of The Right View with Lara Trump.
"I'm not trying to ruin anybody or rain on any parades here. Barron Trump is not a time traveler," she said. "Sorry to say it, I'm sorry, I broke a lot of people's hearts today," she continued, describing the theory as "crazy."
The 43-year-old, who is married to Eric Trump, admitted she was shocked by how popular the conspiracy had become online.
"[The] amount of views that some of these videos get where they really dissect how this really worked out," she said, cited by Daily Mail.
She then challenged viewers, pushing the theory, saying: "Name me one time traveler. Name me anybody who actually can say that that's a real thing."
"It doesn't exist, but people have gotten so far off the rails on this Barron Trump being a time traveler thing," she added.
"I don't know what to tell you. I think it's crazy," Lara continued. "I've known Barron for 18 years. OK, he's not a time traveler. I've seen him grow up."
In Lockwood's book, Baron Trump is a rich young boy with a "very active brain" who becomes bored with his luxury life and sets off on a surreal adventure involving alternate dimensions.
Illustrations in the book show him dressed in expensive clothes and jewelry as he leaves Castle Trump for his journey.
The fictional Trump family motto also caught attention online: "The pathway to glory is strewn with pitfalls and dangers."
Theories Grew After Eerie Political Coincidences Surfaced
The conspiracy theory gained even more traction after readers linked another Lockwood novel, The Last President, to modern politics.
The book follows a political outsider from New York whose election causes chaos across the city, with police warning that: "Mobs of vast size are organizing under the lead of anarchists and socialists, and threaten to plunder and despoil the houses of the rich who have wronged and oppressed them for so many years."
"The Fifth Avenue Hotel will be the first to feel the fury of the mob," the novel continues. "Would the troops be in time to save it?"
Online theorists later pointed out that the Women's March after Trump's first inauguration started on Manhattan's east side and ended just two blocks from Trump Tower before protesters were stopped by police barricades.
The theory spiraled more after the internet connected the 79-year-old president's uncle, John Trump, to inventor Nikola Tesla, whose work has long been linked to theories about time travel and futuristic technology.
Furthermore, some supporters of the theory also point to Trump's 2016 statement: "I know things that other people don’t know."
Barron Launches Business Career
While online conspiracy theories continue to circulate, Barron has recently stepped into the business world himself.
The 20-year-old son of Donald and Melania Trump is now officially tied to SOLLOS Yerba Mate, a Florida-based beverage company preparing to launch its first canned drinks in May 2026.
According to state business records obtained by the outlet, Barron is listed as one of five directors for the company, which is registered in both Florida and Delaware.
Barron is currently studying at New York University's Stern School of Business and has reportedly spent recent years building business plans and developing financial interests.
"Barron has been actively working on his own financial interests and has spent time with others who he is involved with in that area," one insider told PEOPLE.
Another source said: "Barron has inherited his father's interest in making money and a name for himself, and is well on the way to becoming an entrepreneur."
"He is smart, focused and resourceful. He is always looking for areas that interest him and is quite ambitious for such a young age," they added.
