As we edge closer to 2025, some of you may be thinking about what New Year's resolutions you could adopt... Well, if these predictions are correct, don't bother.

Yes, with 2024 drawing to a close, the whispers of the past grow louder with two of history's most enigmatic figures - Baba Vanga and Nostradamus - offering chilling predictions that continue to captivate and horrify in equal measure.

Whether you’re a skeptic or a believer, the foresight attributed to these legendary seers has remained a topic of conversation for decades.

Baba Vanga - the blind Bulgarian mystic born Vangeliya Pandeva Gushterova - may have passed away in 1996, but she has been credited with an astounding 85% accuracy rate in her predictions.

These have - apparently - included the 9/11 attacks, Princess Diana’s death, and Barack Obama's presidency, per The Economic Times.

Her prophetic prowess has left a lasting impression, with predictions spanning the next three millennia (scroll to the bottom of the page for that joyous reading), securing her place as a formidable figure in the realm of prophetic mystery.

Additionally, Nostradamus - a 16th-century French astrologer - penned his visions in the cryptic quatrains of his 1555 book, Les Prophéties.

His foresights are said to have predicted momentous events such as the rise of Adolf Hitler, the assassination of President Kennedy, and also the September 11 terror attacks, cementing his reputation as a visionary whose work is continually analyzed for clues about the future.

Unnerving Predictions for 2025

Both seers have pointed to 2025 as a pivotal year with grave implications for the global stage:

Nostradamus foresees the emergence of an underwater empire and a shadowy cult rising to power.

Meanwhile, Baba Vanga predicts the realization of telepathy, adding a futuristic twist to our understanding of human capabilities.

However, the forecasts also share a darker hue with predictions of war...

Both predict a devastating conflict in Europe, with Nostradamus describing it as involving "cruel wars", mysteriously adding: "The ancient plague will be worse than enemies."

And Baba Vanga ominously predicts this conflict will "devastate" populations, setting a somber tone for the near future and making me question if I should bother buying my annual Neil Diamond calendar.

Oh, and if that's not enough to keep you up at night, Nostradamus also writes of an asteroid coming to Earth: “From the cosmos, a fireball will rise, A harbinger of fate, the world pleads. Science and fate in a cosmic dance, The fate of the Earth, a second chance."

A Glimmer of Hope and Extraterrestrial Intrigue

Despite the foreboding forecasts, there are slivers of optimism.

Nostradamus hints at a possible resolution to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, suggesting that interventions from nations like France or Turkey could bring peace, and that both sides will become "exhausted", per Sky History.

On a more unusual note, both seers tease the possibility of extraterrestrial encounters, with Baba Vanga suggesting aliens might appear at a major sporting event.

But as I previously mentioned, Baba Vanga died with predictions to last us 3,056 years - and let's just say, it apparently doesn't end well with the aliens.

Who was Baba Vanga?

Dubbed the "Nostradamus of the Balkans", Baba Vanga's reputed accuracy rate of 85% continues to send shivers down spines as her predictions unfold beyond her lifetime, according to the Mirror.

Her mystic abilities allegedly manifested during a storm that robbed her of eyesight at the age of 12.

But what has the mystic predicted that seemingly came true in the past?

The 9/11 terror attacks

In 1989, she ominously predicted: "Horror, Horror! The American brethren will fall after being attacked by the steel birds." The chilling reference to "steel birds" could be interpreted as the hijacked planes used by Al-Qaeda in the devastating 9/11 attacks in 2001.

The sinking of the Kursk

In 1980, Baba envisioned a tragic event in which the Russian city of Kursk would be "covered with water, and the whole world will weep over it." In August 2000, 188 crew members lost their lives when a nuclear submarine sank near Kursk, validating her foresight.

So, with those chilling predictions realized, it makes sense that you may want to concern yourself with the next 3000+ years. Per the New York Post, here's how she sees the next three millennia shaping up:

2025: A conflict in Europe will devastate the continent's population.

2028: Humans will begin to explore Venus as an energy source.

2033: The polar ice caps will melt, raising sea levels to drastic heights worldwide.

2076: Communism will spread to countries across the world.

2130: Humans will make alien contact.

2170: A drought will devastate much of the world.

3005: Earth will go to war with a civilization on Mars.

3797: Humans will have to vacate the Earth because it's become uninhabitable.

5079: The world will end.

I won't lie guys... I'm really scared. Then again, I don't plan on being around in 5079.
