In the aftermath of the Capitol riots that took place on Wednesday last week, some in attendance have been arrested as the FBI seeks to identify those who took part in the chaotic scenes in DC.
Numerous people have been arrested and charged in the wake of the incident - including many whose images were widely circulated on social media as evidence of the chaos that was unfolding inside the Capitol.
This included a man who was widely photographed in a horned hat during the riots. Jacob Anthony Chansley, who is also known as Jake Angeli is known to be a prominent follower of the baseless conspiracy theory QAnon, the BBC reports.

Florida authorities said that they had arrested 36-year-old Adam Johnson of Parrish, Florida and that he is now being held at Pinellas County Jail pending charges.
Johnson is believed to be the man who appears in a viral photograph taken during Wednesday's raid of the Capitol, where he is seen grinning and waving at the camera while holding the lectern in his right arm, per investigators.
However, before this information became clear, social media users became confused about the name of the man in question after Politico reporter Ryan Lizza posted an image of the rioter alongside the caption, "Via Getty, one of the rioters steals a podium from the Capitol."
A number of social media users, though, seemed to confuse "Via Getty" - an indication that the image had been shared from the library of visual media database Getty Images - as the name of the man in question.
"And now we know his name is Via Getty (wtf kind of name is that, anyway?) can’t someone just go to his house, arrest him on his return and bring Nancy back her podium?" One commenter wrote.
"Anyone else spend a few seconds trying to work out how they got his name so quickly and what an uncommon name ‘Via Getty’ is?" Another Twitter user added.
"The fact that so many people seem to have taken "Via Getty" as this guy's name (as opposed to the source of the image) is kinda funny... but the widespread ignorance it reveals is overwhelmingly frightening." Another commenter wrote.
"The best part about this tweet is people thinking the name of the guy in the picture is Via Getty" a fourth Twitter user added.
Lizza eventually clarified, "To be clear, “via Getty” is not a person. It just means that this photo comes via Getty Images."
