A mysterious outline beneath Donald Trump's suit jacket has sparked intense public speculation after being spotted on multiple occasions during recent public appearances.
The latest incident occurred on Wednesday as the 80-year-old president traveled to North Carolina to campaign for Republican Senate nominee Michael Whatley.
Video footage posted on Instagram by White House aide Margo Martin showed reporters outside Air Force One, along with a distinct, rectangular protrusion visible under the back of Trump's jacket.
This sighting marks at least the third time the unusual shape has been captured on camera in recent months. The outline was initially observed during a 60 Minutes interview in April.
It appeared once again last month in video footage from a rally in Long Island, which was shared by former White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
That footage showed Trump turning toward the crowd while leaving the stage, offering a clear view of the box-like shape from behind.
Because official sources have provided no explanation for the protrusion, social media users have filled the silence with various theories.
Speculation online has ranged from medical devices such as catheters, back braces, or heart failure monitors, to specialized equipment like an exoskeleton.
The renewed focus on the outline comes at a time when critics and observers are closely monitoring the president's physical condition. Since returning to office last year, Trump has been seen in photos with hand bruising and ankle swelling.
On several occasions, he has also appeared to drag or repeatedly tap his right leg while walking. Despite these observations, administration officials maintain that Trump remains in excellent health.
The administration responded furiously when directly asked about the rumors. White House spokesman Davis Ingle strongly rejected the speculation in a statement to the Daily Beast.
"Only the glue-sniffing degenerates at the failing Daily Beast would obsessively push baseless conspiracy theories about President Trump, and that's because they suffer from a severe, crippling disease known as Trump Derangement Syndrome that has completely rotted their peanut-sized brains," Ingle said.
Ingle went on to contrast Trump's physical output with that of his predecessor. "President Trump's sharpness, unmatched energy, relentless work ethic, and historic accessibility stand in stark contrast to what we saw during the last administration when Democrats and the legacy media intentionally covered up Joe Biden's serious mental and physical decline from the American people," he said.
