A body language expert has analyzed President Donald Trump's meeting with Xi Jinping and claimed that he was unshakable despite being the visitor.
According to them, Trump's move could be compared to that of a lion during the State visit to Beijing, China, today (May 14).
Body language expert Judi James told the Daily Mail that earlier today, Trump had used a 'five-tap code' when seeing Xi.
She also claimed that he asserted his dominance, as he was 'the one instigating the shake', meaning you get an early sense of dominance, 'which is why it is usually the host' who does this.
While experts have already attempted to decode the exchanges between the leaders today, there is much more to pick apart upon observation.
Amidst the power moves from both parties, it's believed that the relationship is still on good terms, despite a chaotic moment where someone could be heard using profanities.
Lillian Glass, a Florida-based body language expert, told the New York Post: “I think that Trump feels the power, feels like this is a formidable meeting.
“He is not intimidated by Xi at all.
"He’s showing, kind of like a peacock or a lion, he’s showing his power.”
Glass, who has previously been an expert witness in federal and state courts on behavioral analysis, went on: “He was showing his gravitas, nothing contrived. He really felt it.”
The Florida-based body language expert highlighted that Trump's posture was 'very straight' and 'like a military person,' while remaining focused.
Glass then noted that Trump displayed several assertive moves along with displays of affection towards his Chinese counterpart.
She observed: “Trump was very friendly with patting him,
“They were in close proximity with each other. There were a lot of smiles.”
Glass explained that while back pats were a 'power move', they could also be perceived as 'an affection move.'
She claimed: “I think there’s some genuine affection between the two, I think they really do like each other, you could tell.”
The expert said she noticed Xi patting Trump on the back as well, explaining: “It wasn’t all Trump taking over; it was mutual.”
But as Trump appeared 'formidable,' his exchanges with the Chinese leader suggested 'a warmth between them.'
Glass added: “The fact that they were walking in sync, the fact that [Trump] patted [Xi] a lot on his back, and he had his hand on Trump’s back – that was a very good thing.”
Apparently, this was a sign that they're 'pretty much on the same page,' while noting Trump's physical stamina and explained that this should put any rumors of his health to rest.
She said: “He walked pretty well up those stairs,
“I think that destroys any myths [about his health]. He certainly was formidable and walked quite a long distance.”
“He had a good pace. He walked straight," Glass claimed, saying: "So anybody that’s accusing him of a neurological problem needs to look at themselves, because let me tell you, there’s nothing neurologically impaired about him.”
The expert also noticed Xi speak to a Trump official, who happened to be White House deputy chief of staff, Stephen Miller.
She said that 'there was a connection there,' noting that the Chinese leader spent more time with him than any other US official.
