Twitch streamer Amouranth has revealed she was left injured after her home was ransacked by armed burglars.

Amouranth, whose real name is Kaitlyn Siragusa, raised the alarm with a series of frantic tweets when the armed attackers entered her home.

The streamer, who is also an adult content creator, first posted: "I’m being too robbed at gunpoint," before adding: "This is not a prank help."

She later revealed that she had been injured in the fracas, but believes she had managed to shoot and injure one of the intruders herself.

Amouranth told her followers: "I believe I shot one of them they wanted crypto is what they were yelling they pulled me out of bed.

"I’m covered in blood but only some of it is mine I’ll update yall later but I’m safe now.

"Was at gun point they gave me phone and said log in with gun to my head and I tweeted because calling would be a death sentence."

She added: "They pistol whipped me but I got one. I’m bleeding alot but stable going to hospital."

The Kick streamer also revealed that the men had shot at her bedroom door before kicking it in, and that the attacker had left a trail of his blood on the scene from where she had shot back at him, which police were DNA testing.

Amouranth revealed that she was limited in what footage she could share due to the investigation, but posted a clip of the immediate aftermath.

The 31-year-old told her followers: "3 gun men. He screams 'I got shot I got shot' after. I’m not supposed to post the scene itself, nor the casing which are now evidence.

"They beat me before this video and pistol whipped me the pummeling felt like it would never end and I protected my head by putting my arms up like I Learned how to do in boxing, blood was streaming down my head and my hands where beat brown.

"They brought duct tape and masks and were armed with handguns."

The attack comes after she had shared details of the value of her Bitcoin wallet on social media, asking her followers whether she should sell the assets which made her a massive $20 million in November last year.

Houston Police issued an appeal for witnesses or those with further information on the incident to come forward, tweeting: "If you have any information related to this aggravated robbery / home invasion, contact the Houston Police Robbery Division or Crime Stoppers of Houston."

According to reports, medics treated Amouranth on the scene before she was taken to hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

Her assistant shared a further update, telling fans: "I’m leaving the house now. Kait is at the hospital with family, and I handled the police with statements, etc.

"The animals are all safe, and Kait will be discharged tonight. She does have injuries. I will be with her in the morning as well, and we [won’t] be alone at any point. There will be security."

She also slammed those speculating whether the attack was staged, writing: "Whoever is saying this is fake, I can guarantee you this isn’t, and I never want to be this scared again."

Back in July 2018, a disturbing CCTV video spread over social media. The footage showed a Parisian man violently assaulting a  woman after allegedly verbally harassing her. Marie Laguerre was walking through a busy street when the man insulted her, before reportedly throwing an ashtray at her and slapping her in front of dozens of onlookers. In response, Laguerre uploaded a video of the incident to YouTube, in order to spread awareness of the kind of misogynistic violence she claims women are subjected to daily, as well as the societal apathy around the subject. As of July 28, the video boasts over six million views.

Laguerre captioned the video: "Last night, as I was coming back home in Paris, I walked past a man who sexually/verbally harassed me. He wasn't the first one and I can't accept being humiliated like that, so I replied 'shut up.' He then threw an ashtray at me, before rushing back to punch me, in the middle of the street, in front of dozens of people. This is an unacceptable behaviour. It happens every day, everywhere and I don't know a single woman who doesn't have a similar story. I am sick of feeling unsafe [walking] in the street. Things need to change, and they need to change now."

However, this week the culprit responsible for the assault, who is known only as "Firas M," has been sentenced in court for his crimes. French newspaper Le Parisien described the perpetrator as violent, disturbed, and "capable of hitting his mother." He will serve six months of jail time and is also required to pay a fine of €2,000 (approximately $2300.00). Lawyers also stated that Firas M will undergo treatment for drug and alcohol addiction, as well as psychiatric help. However, the sentencing has provoked further controversy in France, since Firas M was ultimately convicted of aggravated violence with a weapon and not on sexual harassment charges. This was a result of new legislation passed after the altercation occurred.

Speaking to Le Parisien about the incident in a later interview, Laguerre stated: "I knew he was coming to hit me, it was clear from his gestures, it was clear from the exchange of words and his intentions. He rushed towards me. I looked at him straight in the eyes. And I took the blow with the utmost pride just to show him that if he thought he could put me back in my place, it hadn't worked."

Although the verdict is not what many activists have hoped for, one positive thing to take away is that Laguerre's video has sent a powerful message out regarding violence towards women. In the aftermath of the incident, Laguerre personally established an online platform for women, allowing them to anonymously share their stories of being victims of public abuse and harassment. She received over a thousand contributions in the space of the week, so it's clear that the problem is a wide-reaching one.

A devoted father who was blinded by an acid attack in an unfortunate case of mistaken identity has opened up about his fears that the practice is becoming increasingly common and not prosecuted harshly enough.

In 2014, Andreas Christopheros answered the door to a stranger who threw a pint of sulfuric acid in his face before fleeing.

Incredibly, unfortunately, it was a case of mistaken identity as the perpetrator, David Phillips, drove 300 miles from Hastings to Cornwall and knocked on the wrong door - after wrongly believing Christopheros had sexually assaulted one of his family members.

Have acid attacks been on the rise since Christopheros'?

Now, the father-of-two fears that acid attacks have become a sick phenomenon, and his concerns are supported by a disturbing investigation by Legal Expert, which revealed that police forces throughout the country have recorded over 2,600 offences between 2023 and 2025.

Horrorfyingly, the research also found that over 800 of those cases were closed by detectives without a suspect ever being identified.

The most terrifying part of the rise of acid attacks is how frequently they occur compared to the media coverage they get.

Christopheros said, "Acid crime doesn't make news stories anymore because it's been normalised in our society.

“The UK has become a country associated with acid violence, and it's been normalised. Like an everyday thing, and that is shocking. People should be extremely worried about that."

Sadly, his own attack is not the only time Christopheros has been exposed to the atrocities of acid attacks.

His own attack is not the only tie Christopheros has to acid crimes

Just over ten years after Christopheros was attacked on the doorstep of his house on a usually quiet and friendly road, a former neighbour, Danny Cahalane, was attacked in Plymouth.

On February 21, 2025, in a planned attack orchestrated by an overseas crime boss known as 'Frost', a £ 120,000 drug debt was ordered.

It was revealed in the trial that two men broke into the property in the early hours of the morning. After Danny fought them off, one of the men returned and threw industrial sulphuric acid from a coffee cup over him.

He was left with catastrophic burns and died in unimaginable agony ten weeks later.

While Christopheros bears the physical scars of the attack, he is quick to point out that the trauma in such cases extends far beyond the victim.

He explained, "Someone in an acid attack has a massive ripple effect.”

"Imagine how you would be if it were your son. My mother, my dad, my sisters, my friends - they all felt an insane amount of pain. I often say I had the easy job. I was the one lying there unconscious. They were the ones who had to deal with it."

A homeowner has opened up about why he fatally shot a teenager who was performing a TikTok prank.

Michael Bosworth Jr., a senior at Massaponax High School, was shot and killed on May 3 around 3:00AM in Fredericksburg, Virginia — just hours before his senior prom.

The incident, which took place on McKenzie Lane, has sparked national outrage and renewed debates about the risks of viral challenges.

According to the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call about a suspected residential burglary in progress.

When they arrived, they found that two teens had been shot — one fatally and the other with minor injuries. A third teenager was unharmed.

From the start, investigators believed the situation was linked to a TikTok stunt gone wrong.

Bosworth and his two friends were reportedly participating in a “ding-dong ditch” prank — ringing doorbells and running away — with plans to upload the footage online.

One of the teens told police they were unfamiliar with the neighborhood and had no intention of breaking in or stealing anything.

“The juvenile stated that they had run to hide. The juvenile said as they were running from a residence, he and his friends were shot at,” read a search warrant affidavit obtained by NBC News.

Another teen backed up the story and even handed over a phone containing a similar video they had recorded earlier that night.

The alleged shooter, 27-year-old Tyler Chase Butler, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, malicious wounding, and two counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony.

He is currently being held without bond at Rappahannock Regional Jail.

Butler told detectives that Bosworth and the two other teens knocked on his door in the early morning hours, which left him panicked. Believing he was being burglarized, he claimed he opened fire to defend himself and his property, per NBC Washington.

One teen was reportedly grazed by a bullet and treated for minor injuries before being released.

The heartbreaking news shattered Bosworth’s community — especially his girlfriend, Malinda Garcia, a cheerleader at the same school. She attended prom alone, wearing the pink bow tie Bosworth had planned to wear around her arm as a tribute.

“You were the best boyfriend, person, brother, son and friend that anyone could ask for,” she wrote in an emotional Instagram post shared with The Washington Post.

“I’m so glad I got to share my life with you and learn to love you and cheer you on through everything because you are one of a kind,” she continued.

“Nothing can explain the way I feel right now. I am at a loss of words and just can’t believe this is even real. I feel like I’m living in my worst nightmare and will wake up from a dream. But this is my reality, you will always be cherished in my heart forever.”

Bosworth was an avid athlete, playing lacrosse, football, and wrestling. On Tuesday, his community gathered to release black and blue balloons in his memory.

His family also announced a celebration of life will be held on May 20 at a local chapel, inviting friends to join in honoring his memory.

The Spotsylvania school district issued a public statement offering support for grieving students and staff.

“School counselors will be on site at the event to provide support as needed. Also, when students return to school on Monday, our counseling staff and additional division support team members will be available to provide support to our students and staff as needed,” the statement read.

“If your child needs support, please contact the school so that we can provide assistance. Our thoughts are with the family during this difficult time,” it added.

A haunting message allegedly left by a father accused of deliberately blowing up his own home while his girlfriend and their three young children were inside has now been revealed.

Jacob Rabb was taken into custody on Monday (March 9) and charged with 25 counts, including attempted homicide, aggravated arson, and criminal mischief in connection with the April 22, 2022, explosion at a home in Plum, Pennsylvania.

At the time of the explosion, the 41-year-old, his then-girlfriend Laura Petty, and their three sons, aged 11, six, and two, were all inside the house but managed to escape.

Petty initially believed Rabb had saved the family from disaster, even calling him a hero who had rescued them from their "worst nightmare".

"If it wasn’t for Jake, we wouldn’t have made it out," she reportedly told police at the time, cited by the New York Post.

But more than a year later, after filing for a protection-from-abuse order against him in May 2023, she allegedly discovered disturbing handwritten notes hidden in her kitchen cabinets.

According to investigators, one message read: "If I can’t have her no one will or my kids see you all in hell," Penn Live reported. Another line in the note added: "P.S. I blew up the house."

Authorities say Rabb later broke into Petty's home on June 10, 2023, and allegedly held a knife to her throat while threatening to kill her.

"Let’s play a little game," he said before slicing his arm and threatening to provoke police to shoot him, according to the affidavit.

Investigators Say Gas Line Was Intentionally Manipulated

Police allege Rabb caused the explosion by disconnecting the gas line to the dryer, allowing gas to flow freely through the house before the blast.

During questioning related to the later break-in, he allegedly admitted he "disconnected the gas valve" from his ex’s dryer and turned on the gas, per PEOPLE.

He denied starting the 2022 explosion itself, telling investigators he wrote the confession note because he was suicidal. However, investigators say he admitted responsibility to at least two other people, including his father.

"Dad, I blew up the house," Rabb’s father told investigators, his son said, according to court documents.

A supervisor at a sober living home where Rabb stayed in November 2025 also told police that Rabb said he had planned to kill himself, his ex-girlfriend, and their children after having a final meal at Buffalo Wild Wings.

Family Narrowly Escaped Deadly Blast

Police found the home engulfed in flames around 11:30PM on the night of the explosion, with windows blown out and the garage door thrown into the street. Two neighboring homes also suffered thousands of dollars in damage.

Rabb and Petty told investigators they had been asleep when the ceiling suddenly collapsed on them.

Their oldest son, who had been in the basement playing video games, said he smelled gas before the blast and suffered first-degree burns while escaping. "It's amazing they survived this incident," Holiday Park Fire Department Chief James Sim said.

Per CBS News, Lou Bellisario, a neighbor, said people in the community finally have some closure: "We are surprised only because we didn't know for the longest time what had caused the explosion.

"We had some contact with some of the arson investigators, and nobody knew what happened, so it definitely is a surprise to us," they added.

Rabb is being held at the Allegheny County Prison without bail because authorities believe he "poses a threat to [the] victim, witness or the community."

It is unclear whether he has entered a plea. His next court appearance is scheduled for March 18.
