Kris Jenner has revealed that trying Ozempic left her feeling so ill she could no longer work, years before the GLP-1 medication became a mainstream celebrity talking point.
The 70-year-old Kardashian-Jenner matriarch opened up about her experience during a May 5 appearance on the SHE MD Podcast with OBGYN Dr. Thais Aliabadi and women’s advocate Mary Alice Haney, explaining why the medication ultimately was not the right fit for her.
“I did not do, like, an Ozempic,” Jenner said. “I tried it. We tried it once when no one knew what it was and it made me really sick.”
Jenner said the reaction was so severe that she immediately contacted Aliabadi for help. “I can't work anymore. I can't. I'm so sick. I can't, like nauseous. And so she goes, ‘Okay, okay. Let's try something else.’”
After deciding Ozempic was not working for her, Jenner said she and Aliabadi explored different alternatives before landing on something she describes as a major breakthrough.
“I realized that a peptide injection was really great for me,” Jenner said. “And then I follow it up with supplements.”
Injectable peptides, which are short chains of amino acids, have become increasingly popular for weight loss and athletic performance. However, medical experts have cautioned that some peptide treatments have not been extensively studied and may cause side effects including stomach discomfort and pancreatitis.
Jenner also shared that Aliabadi helps guide her supplement routine, which includes fish oils and omega-3s.
“And that was a game changer,” Jenner said. “That actually bought me an extra couple hours at night because I get up so early. I tend to want to go and collapse as soon as I have my last email or my last call or see my kids and have dinner and I'm done.”
She added that the peptides boosted her energy levels and said the supplements also benefited her hair, nails and skin.
During the same conversation, Jenner acknowledged the attention surrounding the facelift she debuted in 2025, joking about the procedure while praising plastic surgeon Dr. Steven Levine.
“I had a very, well-known facelift a year ago. So that was helpful,” she said with a laugh.
The reality star recently pushed back against online rumors claiming she regretted the procedure. Speaking on her daughter Khloé Kardashian’s Khloé in Wonderland podcast in late April, Jenner called reports criticizing the surgery completely false.
"Lately, it's this headline about my facelift, which is really truly driving me crazy," Jenner said. "The headline right now is that I hate my facelift, and I'm really mad at I'm furious at my doctor, Steven Levine, which couldn't be further from the truth. It's a flat-out lie. I love my facelift. I adore my doctor. I'm obsessed with him."
Jenner explained that she rarely responds to rumors, but decided to speak out because she felt the speculation was affecting Levine personally.
After her second facelift sparked major discussion online last summer, Jenner spoke about the decision in an August 2025 interview with Vogue Arabia.
“I decided to do this facelift because I want to be the best version of myself, and that makes me happy," she said.
