There are a lot of things on the internet that are shrouded in mystery, but the truth behind one of these is set to be unveiled today.
It's a Facebook account called 'You have 3.000 days,' and it was created on July 2, 2018.
Back then, the user behind the account posted a time and date link, setting it for 3,000 days' time, which is about eight years and two months long.
The date is now September 17, 2026, and the timer is set to come to an end by the early hours of tomorrow morning, depending on time zones.
One X account wrote in anticipation: "So there's this fb account that's been counting down 3000 days every day since 4th of July 2018. Tomorrow appears to be the final, 3000th day. Idk what's underway, possibly some large astrological shift or something. Either way, I love their commitment."
Some didn't take it too seriously, as one pointed out: "Some dude did this years ago like 2016, 'You have 300 days', At the 300th day they just posted a d**kbutt lol."
The original poster claimed: "I'm finding that this ominous aura surrounding 'you have 3.000 days' page strangely coincides with astrological events, just speculating."
"That level of dedication over eight years is honestly impressive, even if nothing happens," a different user said, as another wrote: "You should reach out to them and ask. Please update us on what they post tomorrow, I’m so curious."
"Gonna delete their account tomorrow and make everyone feel like a fool," one user suggested.
Others suggested that it might be a classic Rick Roll, while some said that it's probably nothing at all, and we've all been 'tricked'.
As it stands, nobody has any idea what the countdown could be for, with no major astrological events taking place today or tomorrow.
There are no hints or suggestions of anything on the account, so the only thing we can really do is wait.
There are a number of random quotes that have been posted as the days have gone down, with one reading: "What would you do if a vicious enemy suddenly started coming at you armed to the teeth and ready to kill you?"
That was with 106 days left, but with 120 days left, the admin posted a picture featuring silhouettes of birds inside a circle.
At 100 days, the account eerily posted: "No turning back now."
With 48 days to go, the account posted the tombstone of one 'Giles Corey', who was pressed to death on September 19, 1692, as part of the Salem witch trials.
The 81-year-old English-born farmer was tortured to death after refusing to enter a plea.
Most recently, with 23 days to go, the account posted a blurry image that read, 'dead for life, alive for a moment.'
Once again, the significance and meaning behind these words remain unknown.
