The former Russian President has spoken out after watching the heated meeting between the US' Donald Trump and Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The high-stakes meeting - intended to forward a minerals deal and bring "peace" to Ukraine - ended in choas, with no agreement signed. Trump strongly rebuked Zelenskyy, accusing him of recklessness and "gambling with World War III".
"With us, you have the cards," Trump told Zelenskyy. "You're gambling with the lives of millions of people! You're gambling with World War III! What you're doing is very disrespectful to this country."
Following the meeting, Trump issued a statement accusing Zelenskyy of having "disrespected the United States of America in its cherished Oval Office."
The POTUS continued his scathing remarks, pressing Zelenskyy on Ukraine’s dire situation: "You have to be thankful. You don't have the cards. You're buried there. Your people are dying. You're running low on soldiers.
"Listen, you're running low on soldiers. It would be a damn good thing... Then you tell us, I don't want a ceasefire. I don't want to ceasefire. I want to go and I want this."
Trump then issued an ultimatum: "You're either gonna make a deal or we're out. And if we're out, you'll fight it out."

Well, it seems as if Russia was watching with glee.
Former Russian President and current deputy chairman of the Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, issued a scathing response on social media.
"The insolent pig finally got a proper slap down in the Oval Office," Medvedev wrote on X. "And @realDonaldTrump is right: The Kiev regime is 'gambling with WWIII'."
Medvedev further described the incident as a "brutal dressing down" in a Telegram post, as reported by Reuters.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova also weighed in, unexpectedly praising Trump for his restraint in dealing with Zelenskyy.
"I think Zelensky’s biggest lie of all his lies was his assertion in the White House that the Kyiv regime in 2022 was alone, without support," Zakharova wrote on Telegram. "How Trump and Vance held back from hitting that scumbag is a miracle of restraint," she added, accusing Zelenskyy of "biting the hand that feeds him" and being "unpleasant with everyone."

Meanwhile, Russian state television presenter Vladimir Solovyov announced plans for a special program analyzing what he described as Zelenskyy’s "suicide in the White House."
Zelenskyy has since spoken out, stating: "I cannot change Ukraine’s position on Russia. The Russians are killing us.
"Russia is the enemy, and that’s the reality we face. Ukraine wants peace, but it must be a just and lasting peace. For that, we need to be strong at the negotiation table. Peace can only come when we know we have security guarantees, when our army is strong, and our partners are with us."
