I think the easiest way to describe children is as little, boisterous people. If you sit and observe a child's behaviour for a few hours, it is easy to see a bit of yourself in them. The way they make a mess with the food is reminiscent of yourself at 3 am in McDonald's, their way of waddling around looks like your gal pals in their heels and their slurred speech is every single one of us after a few too many drinks.
Also, much like you in McDonald's at 3am, children have the capability to come out with some absolutely classic statements.

One person who knows this all to well is
Ryan Reynolds. The actor, who is father to two daughters - James and Ines - shared a photo on Instagram the other night with a hilarious caption.
When you're a child, the idea of Santa seems like a very real and believable prospect. However, as you get a little older you begin to realise that, despite the fact we would all love it to be true, it is actually impossible to deliver eight billion presents in one night. However, all good parents keep up the lie for as long as they possibly can, with some going to extraordinary lengths to make their children believe that Saint Nick is real and that he and his flying reindeer genuinely do complete this physically impossible feat.
But children aren't stupid and Reynolds found this out in the most savage of ways. Over the holidays, Reynolds shared a tale on his Instagram account. It turned out that his daughter had sussed that Santa wasn't real and had the perfect bit of evidence. Uploading a photo of his fireplace, Reynolds captioned the image:
"Daughter: Santa comes down the chimney?
Me: Yup.
Daughter: You left the fire burning all night.
Me: Yup. (Silence. Slight breeze. A crow circles in the distance.)"

Yep, the actor was rumbled. It's safe to say that his daughter has done an excellent bit of detective work, and she will now either believe that her dad is plotting to murder Santa Claus, or that Father Christmas simply doesn't exist - neither of which a child will want to believe.

It's not the first time that Reynolds' family life has gone viral on social media. The Deadpool star and his wife,
Blake Lively, are known for their trolling of each other on Instagram, particularly on their birthdays.
It all began when Reynolds'
uploaded a hilariously cropped photo of the both of them on Lively's birthday, with the actor completely cutting out his wife from the image. However, when the time came for his birthday, his wife administered the perfect revenge: uploading a photo of
Ryan Gosling and writing "Happy Birthday, baby"

It seems like the Reynolds household is an enjoyable place to be, with there being plenty of laughs going on. Although, if his daughter thinks that he is plotting to murder Santa, I imagine there are some serious tantrums happening over there.
