2017 will go down as the year that
David Harbour stole the hearts of the world. The actor, who played Jim Hopper in Stranger Things 2, cemented himself as a fan favorite through his characters heroic actions, enviable dance moves and adorable relationship with Eleven. However, while his character was an all-around legend, it turns out that David is also a pretty stand up guy away from the cameras.

Last October, a high school student got in touch with Harbour on
Twitter, asking how many retweets she would need in order to let her take her yearbook photos alongside him. Surprisingly, given the number of similar requests he must get every day, Harbour responded. The actor told the student that she needed 25,000 retweets in order to win her prize and that there was one rule: he gets "to wear the school sweatshirt and hold a trombone.”

Step forward, the internet. Within a day the tweet had gone viral and had received over 25,000 retweets. Being a man of his word, Harbour kept his promise and asked the student to DM him in order to get the show on the road.

But since then, it had all gone a bit quiet. However, popping up his Instagram, Harbour updated his followers on the progress of his new project, giving us behind the scenes access to the photo shoot, saying: "Don’t worry Ms. Esquivez. I believe we’ll meet all requirements for yearbook publication. And we won’t miss that submission due date. Go Warriors!"

The actor then provided us with some shots from the shoot, in which he can be seen wearing the school sweatshirt and holing the trombone as promised. It's safe to say that the actor looks more than pleased with himself and seems to be reveling in the stunt.
In the accompanying caption, Harbour wrote: “Voted most likely to hijack someone’s high school senior photos 24 years later. Many thanks to @postydamarisand her kind family and @iamtommyg photography for making a dream come true and proving my high school classmates right!!”
I'm sure you'll all agree, these photos are absolutely perfect.

While Harbour has the time to be taking high school yearbook photos at the moment, his schedule is set to get much busier, with the actor claiming the filming for
Stranger Things season three is set to go ahead in March or April. However, due to the nature of the programme, he was quick to warn fans that they shouldn't expect to be actually watching the show anytime soon.
"I mean, one of the things that's annoying for fans is that it takes us a long time to do them," he said last month. "Like, you probably won't get [season three] until sometime in 2019."
While it's an undoubted shame that we won't be getting any Stranger Things till next year, in the meantime, we can all revel in what a brilliant man David Harbour is.
