The mom of the missing Georgia firefighter who was found dead alongside his ex-girlfriend has opened up about the mystery surrounding her son's death.
As previously reported, Chandler Kuhbander and Reagan Anderson were discovered deceased in Cocke County, Tennessee, on Sunday (June 30).
The 24-year-olds, who were also previously involved in a long-term relationship, had been missing since June 24.
Hinesville Police in Georgia disclosed in a press release that the pair's bodies were recovered along with Anderson’s black 2017 Ford Focus.

The former couple dated seven years after meeting in high school, but recently split after a “toxic” relationship, as reported by CourtTV.
According to WJCL, Chandler went on a date at Olive Garden with an unnamed female companion after he broke up with Raegan. That same day (Saturday, June 22), his ex-partner arrived at the restaurant and supposedly confronted him. She then allegedly keyed his car and was charged with second-degree criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct.
Then, on Monday (June 24), Kuhbander called his mother and allegedly said that Anderson was “blowing up” his phone and threatening to end her life. That was the last she heard from him.
Before authorities announced that the the firefighters were found dead, Chandler's mom, Jane Kuhbander, shared a post on Facebook, alleging that her son was "coerced by a [woman] named Raegan Anderson".
She described Chandler's ex-girlfriend as "a danger to herself" and said that "he is believed to not be with her willingly".
Check out the post below:Jane continued to plead for help finding her son in a follow-up post, clarifying her belief that “Raegan is not a bad person".
“She is a great firefighter,” the mother wrote in a June 27 social media post asking for help finding Raegan and her son. “She is lost, unstable, and [losing] what she has known for 7 years. They were/are not good for each other.
"She is making bad decisions because of this. They are not a couple but he cares deeply for her. We don’t want anything bad to happen to either one of them, we want them home safe and sound," she concluded.
Chandler was last seen on surveillance footage at Crunch Fitness on Monday (June 24).
Jane, who reportedly watched the video, claimed that her son's car was seen driving through the mall's parking lot around the same time. "At 11:40 my son walks out of the building and he looks very comfortable like he just had his workout," she said. "He doesn’t look rushed as he walks through the parking lot. After that, we don’t see him again.
"You don’t want to be in this position. And when you see it on television, I can see how they feel. Then it hits you, like, I am that person. I do feel that way. This is terrifying and you have no answers," she added.
When police went to Anderson’s home after the couple disappeared, they discovered the house empty with a note "which would raise concern with anybody reading it regarding the health and wellbeing of Miss Anderson," as cited by Too Fab.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said that they are investigating the circumstances that led to Kuhbander and Anderson's mysterious deaths.
Liberty County Fire Services said in a statement that it was ”deeply saddened” by the heartbreaking news.
“These two extremely dedicated employees put their hearts and souls into protecting and serving the citizens of Liberty County,” the statement read. “Our prayers, and those of the department, are with the families during this most difficult time.”
A GoFundMe has been set up for Kuhbander’s family. As of the time of writing, $6,797 has been raised of the $10,000 goal.
