Police are reportedly looking into Hannah Kobayashi's final Venmo payments as part of the investigation into her disappearance.

The 31-year-old had travelled from Hawaii to Los Angeles on her way to New York, but never ended up making the connecting flight.

Her family raised the alarm after she sent some concerning messages before she stopped responding to calls and messages on November 11.

Kobayashi's loved ones had also traveled to Los Angeles to help with the search, but her father Ryan Kobayashi tragically took his own life two weeks after she vanished.

Now, the US Sun claims investigators are following up on two Venmo payments she made before she disappeared.

According to the outlet, Kobayashi had made two unusual payments on November 9, the same day she had been due to arrive in New York to meet her aunt for a "bucket list" vacation.

The payments, the amounts of which are unknown, were reportedly sent to a Jonathan Taylor and a Veronica Almendarez within an hour of each other, according to screenshots from her account.

One of the payments was labeled with a bow and arrow emoji, while the reference on the other said "reading".

According to The Sun's reports, a source claimed the payments were for a tarot card reading, which the "spiritual" 31-year-old was supposedly interested in.

Prior to these two payments, Kobayashi had only made public payments on the money-transfer platform on four other occasions this year, and had never paid Taylor or Almendarez before.

Kobayashi's aunt, Larie Pidgeon, confirmed to the outlet that the family had seen the payments, adding: "We have been made aware and so have the LAPD. It's in their hands.

"We are still focused on Downtown LA. Even though it's been 15 [days] we still have hope.

"We are also now encouraging people from across the nation to keep an eye in case she has been taken outside of California.

"We are looking at all possibilities, hotels, metros, bus, train stations."

The last confirmed sighting of Kobayashi was at the Pico Metro station on November 11, where she was reportedly seen with a man.

Text messages sent before her disappearance had worried her family, after she told them she "got tricked pretty much into giving away all my funds … for someone I thought I loved."

Another message read: "Deep Hackers wiped my identity, stole all of my funds, & have had me on a mind f*** since Friday."

One of her final texts read: "Hi loves. I just finished a very intense spiritual awakening. I'm charging my phone and heading back to the airport to get to NYC. I might need some help getting there, it's a long story. I'll keep you posted. I think I still have my hotel room."

However, Kobayashi never rebooked her flight after returning to the airport, and instead was seen leaving Pico Station in downtown LA at around 10PM the same day.

Her family has not heard from her since, and her phone only goes to voicemail.
