This Morning's Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield had a candid discussion with Charlie and Louise Draven about the process of switching genders.
The couple discussed the emotionally draining process, as well as their four-year-old son Star's sweet reaction when he discovered that his mother, Louise, who is his biological father, would be going into surgery.
"He has always known Louise is mum, the only little difference is mum now has to go to The bathroom for half an hour three times a day and he knows she is doing something she needs to do," Charlie explained, per The Mirror.
"We haven't told him the ins and outs because he is only seven," Charlie added. "He knows the doctors helped mummy to be who she should have been, he accepts that."
"The first thing he said when she told him she was going for her operation was, 'Will she bring me something back because she is going so far away?' When we said she would, he said, 'Well as long as mummy is happy, I am happy'."
The interview, conducted today (September 17), marked five weeks since Louise's gender reassignment surgery.
However, the process was not exactly what Louise, who has waited 10 years for the surgery, expected it to be. Instead of having a "Julie Andrews moment," as she thought, Louise described it as a feeling of "everything feeling right," at long last.
"It's been a really good time, it's been emotional, there has been ups and downs," she explained. "Everything has fallen into place comfortably, I feel more comfortable in myself."
Despite experiencing a significant amount of pain, "everything felt good, everything felt the place it should be. This is the full definition of who I am and my life."
Charlie, on the other hand - who was born a woman - is currently awaiting surgery, having been on the waiting list for his first consultation for 26 months.
He also disclosed that he disagreed with the British Medical Association, who have said that people should be able to change their gender without a diagnosis of gender dysphoria from two separate medical professionals like they have to at the moment.
Charlie said that transgender people should have to be medically diagnosed, but that the waiting lists are too long:
"They should work on the waiting lists rather than the gender reform," he said. "Being on the list for so long, it's emotionally draining."

Ah, Gordon Ramsay. When it comes to the world of celebrity chefs, there's nobody more recognisable, nor more watchable, than the 52-year-old host of Hell's Kitchen, Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, and more. Over the past couples of decades, nobody's given us as many soundbites, as many glorious burns.
I'm sure I don't have to remind you too much of the hilarity he can bring.
[[youtubewidget||https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7zFrbf5ib4]]
So here we have Ramsay, a chef world-renowned for his volatile, sweary nature. If you're anything like me, your first thought is that "this man should not be around children", but it might surprise you to know that Gordon Ramsay actually has a pretty big family.
He's got four kids, including 19-year-old twins, with his wife Tana, and this New Year's Day, his family is about to get a little bit bigger. Addressing the world as the calendars made their transition from 2018 to 2019, Gordon Ramsay announced that he's expecting a fifth child.
Taking to Instagram with the joyous news, it wasn't initially clear what Ramsay meant when he captioned his video: "Exciting news! Happy new year from all the Ramsay's." That could be anything, right? But once you watch the video, everything made much more sense.
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/BsF1J-AnLz0/?utm_source=ig_embed]]
Isn't that totally adorable? With the camera, Ramsay pans to each of his children, going from 21-year-old Megan, to the 19-year-olds Jack and Holly, before going to 17-year-old Matilda. They take turns wishing everyone a happy New Year, but then the camera pans to Gordon's wife Tana.
She then lifts up her sweatshirt to reveal an adorable little baby bump, and that can only mean one thing, folks! It means a baby, in case you were a little foggy on that. Gordon's having a baby. This is especially heartwarming after Tana suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage a few years prior.
The couple sadly lost the baby at five months back in 2016, but stayed positive, and now they're looking forward to welcoming new life and love to the Ramsay household! He might be a gruff, angry guy on television, but underneath the chef's coat and the swears, Gordon Ramsay's a really loving dad.
He's proved that many times over, like when he was talking up his twins after they picked up their A-Level results. They did outstandingly well in the final year before university, and sharing a loving pic on Instagram, he revealed: "Dinner's on me."

Of course, he does have plenty of time for a couple of friendly family roasts once in a while. Just ask his youngest, who got her GCSE results around the same time as her older siblings got their A-Levels, but while she nailed most of her exams, Gordon Ramsay gave his daughter an extra grade she might not be so proud of.

Ouch. What a roast, huh? But since he spends so much time being a loving dad, you can forgive him having a little fun once in a while. Congratulations to Gordon and the rest of the Ramsay family!

Robert De Niro has reacted to news that 83-year-old Al Pacino is set to welcome another child soon.
Earlier this week, news broke that Pacino and his 29-year-old girlfriend Noor Alfallah are expecting a baby in a matter of weeks. The child is the first the couple has together, though Pacino has three other children from two previous relationships.
The Hollywood legend - best known for his roles as Tony Montana in Scarface and Michael Corleone in The Godfather trilogy - has been quietly dating Alfallah since the pandemic, according to a Page Six report at the time. It was in April last year that the pair were first photographed together after they were seen at an art exhibition alongside Aquaman star Jason Momoa.
Interestingly enough, Pacino is not the first celebrity Alfallah has been linked to. In fact, she's previously dated 78-year-old Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, billionaire investor Nicolas Berggruen, 60, and even seen out and about with 91-year-old Clint Eastwood in Los Angeles. Though, she insisted the latter was a family friend.
News of the impending arrival comes soon after his long-time co-star on multiple projects, 79-year-old Robert De Niro, revealed he'd just become a father for the seventh time. In a discussion with ET Canada about fatherhood back in May, the actor said that he believed "in being loving with [his] kids", though one also has "to be stern about stuff." He added: "I mean, there's no way around it with kids. I don't like to have to lay down the law and stuff like that. But, [sometimes] you just have no choice."
At that moment, the ET Canada journalist then mentioned that De Niro had six kids, before the actor corrected him, saying: "Seven actually. I just had a baby." Following the interview, a representative for De Niro did confirm he is now a father of seven. His newborn daughter was later revealed to have been named Gia.
Shortly after the news broke and went viral, Sex And The City's Kim Cattrall congratulated De Niro and his "significant other" - who is rumored to be his longtime girlfriend Tiffany Chen - at the New York premiere of their film About My Father. Cattrall told Extra: "God bless him, his significant other. Tiffany is such a beautiful woman. She came to the set once with her family and watched filming, and she was gorgeous and sweet. I'm happy for both of them."
Now, De Niro has commented on Pacino's new arrival at a press junket for the upcoming 2023 Tribeca Film Festival, which he founded, telling People: "What a guy. Go Al, God bless him."
De Niro and Pacino have acted together in numerous projects over the years - having both appeared in The Irishman (2019), The Godfather Part II (1974), Righteous Kill (2008), and Heat (1995). During a joint interview with GQ in 2019, the pair spoke about meeting for the first time in their 20s over 50 years earlier, with Pacino saying: "I remember the meeting very clearly. Unbelievably, I saw this guy, I thought, Wow, he's got such charisma.
"He wasn't doing anything. He was just walking. Remember? You know, he was Bob. But you felt something from him," he added.
According to TMZ, Pacino has had a DNA test to confirm that the baby is his, as the outlet reported that the actor didn't believe he was able to have any more children at his age.

Seth Rogen has revealed that the older he gets, the more reassured he feels in his decision not to have kids.
The 40-year-old Superbad actor and his wife Lauren Miller have been married since 2011. Over the last few years, he has spoken in detail about not wanting to have children, having shared on The Howard Stern Show in 2021 that he now no longer feels "uncomfortable" admitting that he doesn't want any little ones of his own.
He told Stern at the time: "I wouldn't be able to do all this work that I like. It's something I think I was uncomfortable answering before. But [people] were like, 'How do you do so much?' and, like, the answer is I don't have kids."
Appearing on The Diary of a CEO podcast on Monday, March 6, the Canadian film star spoke to Steven Bartlett about a whole host of subjects.
On the topic of children, Rogen said that not having kids "definitely" helped him achieve success in the film industry.
Check out the interview:"There's a whole huge thing I'm not doing, which is raising children," he said.
Bartlett then proceeded to ask the actor whether he might have been happier had he had kids, to which Rogen said that he would not have been.
He said: "I've been around a lot of children, I'm not ignorant to what it's like, I've seen everyone I know have kids. I'm 40, I know. Some of my friends have had kids for decades, you know. Some people want kids, some people don't want kids.
"I think a lot of people have kids before they even think about it, from what I've seen honestly. You just are told, you got through life, you get married, you have kids - it's what happens."
Rogen shared that he and and his wife had talked about potentially having kids, but over the years, they became certain that it was the right decision not to have any.
He continued: "Me and my wife, neither of us were like that. Honestly, the older we get the more happy and reaffirmed we are with our choice not to have kids. It was something we kind of talked about more, and we were like, 'Have we made the right choice, are we sure?'
"Now, more than anything, the conversation is like, 'Honestly, thank God we don't have children. We get to do whatever we want, we are in the prime of our lives, we are smarter than we've ever been, we understand ourselves more than we ever have, we have the capacity to achieve a level of work and a level of communication and care for one another, and a lifestyle we can live with one another that we've never been able to live before, and we can just do that and we don't have to raise a child - which the world does not need right now."
