There's no doubt that pigs can be every bit as cute as conventional pets. If you don't believe me, then maybe some pictures of an utterly adorable little piglet, who has taken social media by storm, will change your mind.
Per Bored Panda, the piglet, named Dynamite, became an internet celebrity after professional photographer Cashlie White, (who hails from Newcastle in the state of Oklahoma) decided to have a professional photo shoot for the newborn swine.
Dynamite comes from the Hamilton Show Pigs, and was spotted by Cashlie after the family who owned her uploaded a picture of her to Facebook. Cashlie contacted the owners, arranged to dress the little pig up in a variety of tiny costumes, and took some snaps of the porker while she slept.
She later uploaded the pics to Facebook, where they quickly went viral. Cashlie was so blown away by the response to her photoshoot, that she later made a follow-up post, in which she wrote:
"I’m blown away by the response to this fun shoot! This sweet baby is named Dynamite! She is the runt of her litter and is a show pig from Hamilton Farms in Washington, [OKlahoma]."
"She got a bath before the shoot and I used all of my newborn shooshing and swaddling tricks, just like a regular newborn session and she went to sleep in my arms! We kept her warm and the room quiet and she was OUT and in Hog Heaven!"
"After the shoot she woke up and was on the run back to momma! If you’re interested in Dynamite or any of her brothers or sisters they’re available! This shows the hard work and dedication from our local farmers and ranchers as well as 4H and FFA members! [sic]"
Commenting on the photoshoot in a later interview with Bored Panda, Cashlie stated:
"It was just a fun thing to do. I’d seen photos of puppies like that, but never a pig! I’ve loved and been around agriculture my whole life, so being able to put my love for animals and my passion and skill for photography together just made sense."
"Honestly, she was easier than some newborn babies I’ve had. She was only two weeks old, so that helped with her being comfortable sleeping. We gave her a bath and then I swaddled and shooshed her like a baby. I had a small space heater to help keep her warm.”
"I hope that I’ll be able to continue doing these types of shoots because it’s obviously something the world needs more of and I’m hoping more people reach out to let me take photos of their animals!"

In an effort to spread some joy, professional photographer Chantal Levesque recently discussed one of the cutest subjects she has ever had the pleasure of snapping - an adorable therapy pig called Fluffy.
The Montreal;-based photographer wrote about her experience on Bored Panda, saying: "I usually photograph dogs in natural light settings but when the opportunity presented itself to photograph Fluffy the Therapy Pig I went bananas! We were lucky to find these delicate fresh pink tulips for her portraits."
Writing on Instagram, the talented photographer wrote: "I think it's one of the cutest sessions I have photographed to date. This is Fluffy and pink is her favorite color. Yes she is wearing nail polish and yes she has a pink dress with unicorns on it!"
The photoshoot may have taken place nearly two years ago, but the pictures are still spreading some much-needed joy.
Levesque continued: "It should come as no surprise that she draws a crowd wherever she goes and her photo session was no exception. Lots of 'awwwww's were heard, people stopped to take photos of her and would just smile as they crossed her path.
"One can only imagine the joy and support she brings to people’s lives as a therapy pig!"
Fluffy is currently a therapy animal for an organization called Khalizoo, whose team is "dedicated to helping individuals that are struggling physically, socially, psychologically, or emotionally."
One thing's for sure: Fluffy has certainly put a smile on my face today.
A woman has made the ultimate faux pas at her new job.
Issie Carmody, who hails from Corsham, Wiltshire, accidentally sent her new boss a video of herself as an animated pig begging her boyfriend to pick up a Chinese takeaway. The kicker? She'd only known her manager for two days.
The makeup artist used an app to turn her face into that of a pig, and then proceeded to repeat the word "Chinese" in several different voices.
Issie shared the 18-second clip to Facebook, writing "Guys I'm actually f*cking mortified. I recently got a new manager at my work, and I've known her for two days!"
"I wanted to send my boyfriend an Animoji of me as a pig saying that I wanted a Chinese. Well, I've sent it to my new manager and it's the most idiotic video I have ever created."
Luckily, the 22-year-old immediately realised her mistake, and replied with a series of texts to her new boss. "Omg I'm so sorry that was meant for my boyfriend. I'm so sorry," she wrote.
Her boss, however, was able to see the funny side. "I hope he gets you one," she responded.
And it all worked out in the end as Issie finally got her Chinese takeaway. "Guess who got her Chinese finally," she captioned a photo of her looking rightly triumphant.
Naturally, the people of the internet found the ordeal hilarious. "Proper laughed out loud at that, sending it to the new boss," wrote one social media user, while another added "I must have watched this about 20 times this morning hahaha I love it! Chinese!"

Per the Daily Mail, Issie said today: "I realised almost instantly that I made the mistake! I was already talking to my boss about work so the conversation was already up."
"I sent it and had a bad feeling in my gut that I had done something wrong," she continued. "Looking up I saw my boss's name and that's when I realised I made a huge mistake. My heart and stomach dropped! I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. My boss was very understanding and said that it made her and her husband laugh a lot!"

The internet is full of weird and wonderful animals, and quite frankly, it's the best thing about living in such a connected world! When a furry friend decides to do something cute, we now have the ability to share it with, well, just about everyone!
Case in point, this dog, which has gained thousands of followers online because of her very unique way of posing for a photo.
Now, as any fan of a group photo will know, it's of the utmost importance to do something a little unique to make sure that you stand out, but Kiko the dog has got it down to a fine art and snapping back her head in a way that would give most pet owners a heart attack.
In an interview with Bored Panda, owner Ashleigh Macpherson said: "We have Mika, who is 3 years old. The other ginger dog is Tofu. She is Mika’s daughter, and 1 and a half years old. The last ginger is Kiko, who is 9 months old, and the one who often turns her head backward.
"She is also Mika’s daughter. They are crazy little dogs who are sassy and very cat-like. They are very talkative and have so much to say. They are small dogs with huge personalities."
While the dogs are trained to sit for photographs, because Kiko is so young, she's taken do doing her own thing and "ruining" the photographs in the best way possible.
Meanwhile, Cora the two-legged dog has learned to bounce around:
"Kiko was a Covid puppy and was raised during the lockdown," Macpherson explained. "She was a singleton puppy, who had no littermates. So her company that she grew up with was the cats. Maybe that's why she's such a weird character."
The dogs aren't just related by blood, they are a family in the most literal sense too, and Macpherson said: "Since Finnish spitz are high-energy dogs, they need that exercise, or they'll be running mad at home."
The trio also have daily obedience training to ensure that they keep their paws in line.
"When I go to work, Kiko comes with me while the other dogs stay at home," Macpherson said. "They all usually sleep until I’m back from work, that’s when we go for our 2nd walk/hike."
An adorable puppy, who was born with pink fur and who is deaf and blind, has been inspiring disabled kids on social media.
Piglet, a dachshund-Chihuahua mix, has become a viral celebrity on social media, thanks to his chipper attitude and unusual salmon-coloured hue. The dog was first adopted by Connecticut veterinarian Melissa Shapiro, who fell in love with the handicapped dog's atypical appearance and unconventional cuteness.
Shapiro began uploading pictures of Piglet to Instagram, where he quickly went viral and gathered himself a significant fanbase online, boasting over 100,000 followers on the image-sharing platform.
After Piglet was used to set an example to third-graders in a classroom about overcoming setbacks, Shapiro launched the Piglet Mindset Outreach program to teach children how to face daily challenges.
Although Shapiro only intended to foster Piglet for a short while, he's now a full-time member of the pack. However, convincing him to join the family took a long time, and the little pup remains fairly shy and anxious.
Speaking to PEOPLE magazine about her dog in a recent interview, Shapiro stated: "It was quite a decision to make. He is a lot of work and he is like a full-time job, taking care of a little disabled baby. But he’s so cute, and we couldn’t give him away at that point."
She continued: "He was so anxious, he was screaming constantly. He would play, then go to sleep, but when he wasn’t doing either of those, he was screaming. I couldn’t leave the house the first month I had the dog here."
She added: "People are afraid to adopt these animals, they think that it’s going to be too much work. But people see Piglet’s page and I get so many notes from people that because of him, they just adopted. It’s rewarding to know that people are taking the lead and being inspired by Piggy."
Bets of all? The money that Shapiro makes from the ad revenue on her Instagram page all goes to charity. If that doesn't prove what a good dog Piglet is, then I don't know what will...
