Amazon Prime viewers have been left terrified and on the edge of their seats after watching The House on Mansfield Street.

The chilling 2018 movie follows a documentary maker named Nick Greene filming his life in his new apartment that he suspects is haunted.

As Greene - who is recording his relocation from London to a smaller city - decides to observe the possible demonic presence in his property, it is not long before things take an alarming turn.

The trailer for the eerie flick simply states: "In 2015, Nick Green was making a film documenting his move to a new city...He never finished it."

After watching the five-year-old movie on the streaming service, many viewers took to their social media to share their awe-struck reactions.

One horrified user wrote: "Just finished watching 'The House on Mansfield Street' and it really freaked me out. Wish I wasn't sleeping alone."

Another equally-scared person said: "Yesterday I watched The House on Mansfield Street. A short little found footage film based in England. Worth a view as it had some unsettling moments."

A third commented: "Just finished Watching The House On Mansfield Street Definitely Worth Watching and would recommend it Movie gave me the chills had my heart racing it will make you not wanna sleep."

A fourth person that seemed to enjoy the movie remarked: "Just watched The House on Mansfield Street! Found Footage--decent! [5] out of 5! in the vein of Paranormal Activity from 2018."

This isn't the only form of horror content that has given streaming users nightmares. There's a mystery horror series on Now TV that left people squirming in their seats as they claim that it's the scariest thing they've ever seen.

The show is called From and is based around a city in the middle of the US where those who enter are trapped and are then forced to survive the threats from the surrounding forest.

The series - which is in its second season - has a 7.7 rating on IMDb and boasts a 98% score on Rotten Tomatoes which proves that it really is worth your time.

Brad Newsome from the Australian news outlet The Age gave From a four out of five rating, while writing: "The horror is real – and it gets real gory – but this is no simple splatterfest. Series creator John Griffin has built his world meticulously, and all his characters have their own fraught back stories and their own personal demons."

James White from Empire wrote: "Perrineau and the cast are game, and the story unfurls relatively naturally, even as it bumps into the odd cliché here and there – surly teens, weird moony types who hear voices and feel compelled to do strange things, the arrogant douche who slowly comes around."
