Anne Heche's exes are paying tribute to her in the wake of her tragic death.

Last Friday (August 12) it was confirmed that Donnie Brasco star Heche, 53, had legally passed away. The star's body remained on life support over the weekend so that her final wish to have her organs donated could be honored.

Earlier today, reports revealed that Heche's body had been peacefully taken off life support.

In the wake of the tragedy, Heche's ex-partners have taken to social media to pay tribute to her. The actor leaves behind two sons - Homer, 20, who she shares with ex-husband Coleman Laffoon, and Atlas, 13, who she shares with ex-boyfriend James Tupper. Aswell as her relationships with Lafoon and Tupper, the actor was also in a high-profile romance with Ellen DeGeneres in the 1990s.

Cameraman Lafoon shared a video to his Instagram on Saturday in which he paid an emotional tribute to his ex-wife, whom he was married to from 2001 to 2009.

"In the wake of Anne's passing, I just wanted to say a few things: One, I love her and I miss her, and I'm always going to. Two, Homer is OK," he began.

The cameraman went on to say that he believes "Anne is free from pain and enjoying her experience, whatever is next in her journey."

"She came in hot and she had a lot to say and she was brave and fearless, loved really hard and was never afraid to let us know what she thinks and what she believed in," Lafoon continued, adding: "It was all about love, so goodbye, Anne. Love you, thank you for the good times, there were so many. And in the meantime, I got our son, and he will be fine."

Tupper, too, shared an emotional tribute to Heche, who he dated from 2006 to 2018.

The Big Little Liars actor posted a pixelated photo of his ex-girlfriend alongside the caption "love you forever" and a broken-hearted emoji.

He also shared a snap of Heche with their 13-year-old son, writing: "Thoughts and prayers for this lovely woman, actress and mother tonight Anne Heche we love you."

Ellen DeGeneres, meanwhile, tweeted a short message in response to the news. She and Heche dated between 1997 and 2000 after meeting at a Vanity Fair party.

"This is a sad day. I'm sending Anne's children, family and friends all of my love," chat show host DeGeneres wrote.
