Hocus Pocus has become synonymous with Halloween, and every year, countless people around the world sit down to watch the 1993 Disney classic to complete their spooky season.

Fans of the movie got the ultimate treat earlier this year when Variety reported that Disney+ was making a sequel directed by Adam Shankman.

Alongside the announcement, a source told the news outlet that Disney was hoping to have the movie's original stars, Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najim, reprise their roles as the Sanderson sister.

"Disney is hopeful that they will become involved in some capacity,' Variety said of the possibility that the original cast would agree to return.

Now, in a new interview with Fox 5 New York's Good Day New York, Bette Midler, who played arguably the most iconic of the Sanderson sisters, Winifred, appears to have confirmed that this is happening.

"They want to make a movie, they've asked us if we were interested and of course all of us said yes," said Midler. "I'm game, I’m totally game."

The upcoming movie is not the first time that the Sanderson sisters have recently reunited, and Midler recently stepped back into her old costume alongside Najimy and Parker for a special live, one-night-only virtual charity event, In Search of the Sanderson Sisters, which is scheduled to air on October 30.

The event is raising money for the New York Restoration Project.

The event, which appropriately enough is being hosted by Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, will also feature Glenn Close, Billy Crystal, Jamie Lee Curtis, John Debney, Samantha Diaz, Todrick Hall, Jennifer Hudson, Anjelah Johnson-Reyes, Michael Kors, Adam Lambert, George Lopez, Alex Moffat, Vinessa Shaw, Martin Short, Sarah Silverman, John Stamos, Meryl Streep, Kenan Thompson, Sophie von Haselberg "and other surprise guests."

"It was so bizarre to have been these characters 27 years ago," added Midler of reuniting with Parker and Najimy to reprise her role.

"And to put all that gear on… it was so bizarre because we fell into exactly the same relationship we had and the same style of behaving on screen that we had 27 years ago. As if we had been off for a weekend!"

However, if In Search of the Sanderson Sisters isn't enough for you to get your Hocus Pocus fix this October, why not try this Hocus Pocus wine collection which is launching just in time for Halloween?!
