Tammy Slaton has revealed that she "might be pregnant" during a visit to the doctor about her health concerns.
TLC shared a clip from the latest episode of #1000lbSisters on Instagram, and it shows the 37-year-old at an OB-GYN office to see if she could conceive a child.
The reality TV star revealed that she got an IUD, which is a small T-shaped plastic and copper device that's put into your womb to stop you from getting pregnant, a few years ago.
Tammy was supposed to have the birth control removed back in 2016 - as the device can last between three to eight years depending on the brand - however, she's had it in for seven years now.
Watch a clip from the episode below:Tammy's sister Amy accompanied her to the doctor's office and shared her thoughts on the concerning situation in a confessional.
"Tammy's had that IUD in there for 12 years, I'm like, 'Are you sure it ain't permanently attached now?" she said. "Did it absorb? Like can they find it?' I think it's got a permanent place of residence. It said, 'B***h, I been here for 12 years, I ain't moving."
Elsewhere in the video, Tammy admitted that she hadn't spoken about her contraception to a doctor in a long time, explaining: "I was just really big and it was hard for them to get it out."
Dr. Cindy Basinki revealed it could be really dangerous for Tammy to keep the IUD inside of her and explained to the cameras: "What's most concerning to me is if she should get pregnant and an IUD is in place, it can cause premature delivery or even fetal death so if she's been sexually active with an IUD in place that's not effective, we probably ought to try and get that out."
Tammy stated that there was "a slight chance I might be pregnant now," but when Basinki asked if she was sexually active, she shook her head and explained that her husband, Caleb Willingham, was living in a different state. (Note: This episode was filmed before Willingham sadly died in June 2023).
However, she opened up about her sex life in a confessional, sharing: "I know being bigger has disadvantages with sex, but I can do anything if I put my mind to it. I'm handy capable not handy capped."
Fans were left confused by how the reality star thought she was pregnant despite not being sexually active. One person wrote in the comments section: "She just said she's not sexually active? How can she be pregnant?"
Another chimed in: "She makes no sense. How are you not sexually active but might be pregnant?" while a third added: "I have questions."
1000-lb Sisters airs Tuesdays at 9PM EDT on TLC.
