Angus Cloud's mom Lisa Cloud has opened up about her son's sudden death at the age of 25 in a heartbreaking interview.

The entertainment world was left stunned by the sudden death of the late Euphoria actor, who was best known for his portrayal of Fezco in the HBO series.

It was reported on July 31 that Cloud - whose full name was Conor Angus Cloud Hickey - was found unresponsive at his family's home in Oakland, California. At the time, his grieving relatives issued a devastating statement that mentioned his recent personal struggles.

"Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend," they penned, adding that the late star "was open about his battle with mental health."

Last week, a new report from TMZ revealed Cloud's cause of death, confirming that it was a lethal combination of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, and more. The actor's passing has been ruled an accidental overdose.

Angus' mother Lisa spoke about her devastating loss with PEOPLE. She invited the publication to his childhood bedroom where the walls are covered with "riotous graffiti" and "doodles" which he began drawing in the third grade.

Lisa revealed that the actor was in good spirits the night before his death, as he told her he loved her and promised to see her in the morning. The pair then embraced one final time before she went to bed.

The next morning (which was July 31), the mother found Angus slumped over his desk but initially didn't suspect anything was out of the ordinary as he always fell asleep by his desk. But, when she approached him to say good morning, she immediately knew something was seriously wrong.

"I started shaking him and screaming. I pushed him hard, and he fell on the floor. I tried to resuscitate him - mouth to mouth - and I was compressing him," she told the outlet. "I was screaming for my neighbor because I didn't want to leave him and call 911, and I just kept at it until they took him away."

The bereaved mom shared with the outlet that not a day goes by that she doesn't think of her son. "I miss him so much," she emotionally said. "He was the love of my life."

Cloud had been mourning the loss of his father, Conor Hickey, who died on May 18 2023 aged 65 - three months after he was diagnosed with mesothelioma cancer caused by asbestos exposure.

A week before the actor's death, he and his twin sisters had a difficult time coping with the loss after traveling to Ireland to spread his father's ashes.

However, Lisa firmly believes that her son - who passed away just one week after his dad was laid to rest - didn't mean to end his life, explaining: "It was predominantly the central nervous system depressants."

"It started to slow his heart and slow his breathing. He got tired from a lack of oxygen. Everything just slowed down, and eventually his heart stopped and he went to sleep," she continued. "But he didn't kill himself."

The mom also shared that the night before his death, Cloud was in "decent spirits" as his uncle came over to help move furniture out of his bedroom. He also spent time with his friend, Daniel Aguilera, and the pair spent two hours painting a cardboard canvas and spray-painting.

Though Lisa is still grieving the loss of her son, she explained that the overwhelming support from his loyal supporters has helped her heal and cope.

"He went out at his total power, his total beauty, his total influence, and the reaction that everyone has had is very moving to me," she said. "You know, he's not just an actor who overdosed. He was a beautiful soul, and that's why people miss him so much."

If anything, she felt in her heart that he'd leave an indelible mark in this world. "I always knew he was special and I'm so glad the world also found out he was special," she shared.

"My son will always shine bright," Lisa added.
