Brian Austin Green has opened up about his split from his ex-wife, Megan Fox, who is currently dating Machine Gun Kelly.

During a recent appearance on the podcast Hollywood Raw with Dax Holt and Adam Glyn, the former 90210 actor revealed how he learned that Fox was dating Machine Gun Kelly, and it was not through the press.

"I found out in my own way. And that's as much detail as I'll give you on that one. I didn't read about it or anything like that," he told the hosts.

Green also spoke about how the pair have been managing co-parenting, saying: "I think it’s going as well as it can. There’s no rule book to it. There’s no way of doing it right or doing it wrong. We are learning as we go. The important thing for us is just communicating as much as we can."

"I think the realization for us is we can’t take the view that it won’t affect the kids, because it will. I think it’s up to us, and parents in general, how it affects your kids. Whether it’s a really negative experience or it’s okay and they feel safe in it and feel loved. Everyone still loves and respects everyone, things are just different. It’s not bad different, it’s just different," he continued.

And there seems to be no bad blood between the former couple, with Green adding: "I wish Megan the absolute best in everything. I want her to be completely happy, for her, for the kids."

"That’s super important. No one wants to be around somebody that’s unhappy, nothing good comes out of that. That’s a terrible situation. We are taking it day by day. This is insane, this happened at an unfortunate time that nobody could have predicted with quarantine and the virus and all of that. The news cycle is a bit bigger than we were prepared for. It is what it is."

This comes after the Transformers actor said that she and Machine Gun Kelly are "two halves of the same soul."

On a recent appearance on director Randall Emmett's podcast, Give Them Lala... with Randall, Fox said that she instantly felt drawn to the American rapper.

"I knew right away that he was what I call a twin flame," she told Emmett. "Instead of a soul mate, a twin flame is actually where a soul has ascended into a high enough level that it can be split into two different bodies at the same time. So we're actually two halves of the same soul, I think. And I said that to him almost immediately, because I felt it right away."

"I think it was the second day [of filming]. I asked him to come into my trailer for lunch, and I put him through all of this astrology stuff. I went deep right away. I knew before I even did his chart, I said to him, he has a Pisces moon. I could tell by his energy," she continued.

Fox then went onto say that she knew that something was going to happen with Kelly, though she didn't know exactly what, as soon as she heard that he'd been cast in the movie.

"I was like, 'Who is going to play this role?' And he was like, 'Oh, we just got Machine Gun Kelly,' and immediately, I was like, 'Uh oh.'

"Because I knew - I could feel that some wild s**t was going to happen to me from that meeting, but I wasn't yet sure what. I just felt it like, deep in my soul - that something was going to come from that."

Fox took to Instagram yesterday (5th August) to post a selfie of herself and Kelly, which she captioned: "Achingly Beautiful Boy... My heart is yours."

Green, who is 47-years-old, was married to Fox for 10 years, and confirmed their separation in May, telling fans that "We've had an amazing relationship, and I will always love her."

Yesterday, the former Beverly Hills 90210 decided to hilariously troll his ex by reposting the same message alongside pictures of his children.

"Achingly beautiful boys…… My heart is yours," he captioned the pictures on Twitter.

Green shares three children with Megan; seven-year-old Noah, six-year-old Bodhi, and three-year-old Journey. The actor is also a father to 18-year-old, Kassius, from a previous relationship.

This comes after Fox opened up about her instant connection with Machine Gun Kelly in the couple's first joint interview.

Green explained that until now he had chosen not to publically comment on his relationship because of the coronavirus pandemic, but that the "tabloids and paparazzi" have forced him into conceding.

"I wanted people to hear everything from me, and this is it," Green said, adding that he and Fox will not be providing any additional information about their split.

He said that last year "around Halloween, Thanksgiving time" his wife was gone for several weeks, and during that time, he dreamt of a distance between the pair, which turned out to be a reality when she returned home.

Green said that Fox was gone for five-and-a-half weeks to film and this was the "longest that she's been gone" for work.

"I gave her a couple of weeks, I figured she's been out of the country, she's jet-lagged, she's been shooting nights, I have to give her some time to recoup a little bit and get back into life, and so I did," he said.

A few weeks later, the pair's relationship hadn't improved and Fox revealed to Green that she enjoyed her time alone and liked herself "better during that experience".

Green said he was "shocked" and "upset about it" but "wasn't upset at her".

"It wasn't a choice she made," he said. "That's the way she honestly felt."

The pair then made the decision to "separate a little bit and give ourselves some time and take some space, and meditate, and do whatever, and see what it is we find, and so we did."

He said that after that "things just didn't really change" and "the reality started sinking in" of "maybe this is what it is".

"Neither one of us did anything to each other. She's always been honest with me. I've always been honest with her," Green added. "We've had an amazing relationship, and I will always love her. And I know she will always love me and I know as far as a family what we've built is really cool and really special."

Green stated that he and Fox plan to continue holidaying together for the sake of their children Noah, 7, Bodhi, 6, and Journey, 3.

"It sucks when life changes and something that you're used to, that you've been doing for 15 years, you try and not get rid of but you change because there's the unknown aspect … There's that pit in my stomach," Green said. "I really don't want Megan and I to be at odds… She's been my best friend for 15 years and I don't want to lose that."

The pair were pictured heading back to her home, following husband Brian Austin Green's confirmation of their split.

34-year-old Fox, who shares three children with her estranged partner, was dressed casually in the passenger set of Kelly's (also known as Colson Baker) car, where they proceeded to sip coffee together.

They then collected a takeaway, and headed back to Fox's Calabasas home, per The Sun.

This comes after news of the couple's split was confirmed by Green himself on his podcast, …with Brian Austin Green in an episode titled 'Context', which was released on Monday.

It is being reported that Megan Fox was still with Brian Austin Green when she fell for her current boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly.

In a Nylon interview with MGK about his album Tickets to My Downfall, Fox recalled the moment she knew she was "f**ked" when she "found herself in a room with him" on the set of the upcoming crime thriller Midnight in the Switchgrass.

"I looked into his eyes [and] I felt the most pristine, most gentle, most pure spirit," she told the publication. "My heart shattered immediately and I just knew that I was f**ked."

Interestingly, filming on Midnight in the Switchgrass reportedly started in March.

And considering Fox's split from Austin Green was only announced months later in May, it's believed the Transformers star and the 90210 actor were still together when she met and subsequently fell for the 30-year-old rapper.

"There's never an attempt to control him on my end," Fox added of MGK. It’s more that he looks to me to avoid his own self-destructive tendencies.

"And that’s where I'm useful because on his own and left to his own devices I don’t know how much interest he has in caring for himself."

The 34-year-old actress also compared "loving" MGK to "being in love with a tsunami or a forest fire."

"The intensity of merging with him is just overwhelming, and the threat it poses is so powerful but so beautiful that you have no choice to surrender with reverence and with gratitude," she added.

Per People, Austin Green announced their split in May during an episode of his podcast …With Brian Austin Green podcast, saying: "I was shocked and I was upset about it but I can’t be upset at her because she didn’t ask to feel that way.

"It wasn’t a choice she made, that’s the way she honestly felt. We talked about it a little more and said let’s separate for a bit… and so we did," he added.

Three months later, however, the 47-year-old actor appeared to throw shade at Fox after she posted a snap of herself and her new boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly, months after their own split.

On August 5, Fox posted a photo of herself and the 30-year-old rapper each wearing towels, along with the caption: "Achingly Beautiful Boy … My heart is yours."

That same day, Austin Green posted photos of the sons he and Fox share: Noah Shannon, 7, Bodhi Ransom, 6, and Journey River, 3. Also included in the photos was his eldest son Kassius, 18, whose mother is Vanessa Marcil.

Roasting his ex's caption, Austin Green wrote: "Achingly beautiful boys … My heart is yours."

And more recently, Fox took to Instagram to accuse her ex of "feeding" the narrative that she's an "absent mother".

Brian Austin Green has once again come to ex-wife Megan Fox's defense following her split from Machine Gun Kelly.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum, who was married to Fox, 38, for a decade, made it clear that he’s fed up with the 34-year-old singer.

Last week, Machine Gun Kelly appeared to hit back at reports from TMZ that he and his pregnant ex were not speaking to one another after he shared a cryptic post on Instagram.

He revealed his new beard and hairstyle as he asked his followers: "how can 'sources say' when the sources haven’t said anything."

In a now-deleted Instagram Story shared on Sunday (February 2), Green reposted an image that had been shared by a fan page, refuting the claims that the pair were not speaking in the lead-up to their baby's due date next month.

He wrote in the caption: "Bro. Just be honest for once in your life," adding: "Stop caring so much about how you’re perceived that you will try and drag other people." To accompany the post, the 51-year-old included a clip of MGK’s track 'Don’t Let Me Go'.

The dad-of-five's fiery post comes amid ongoing speculation about Fox and MGK’s split, which made headlines in December 2024 - less than a month after they announced they were expecting a baby together.

Before her relationship with MGK, Fox was married to Green for 11 years. The former couple, who finalized their divorce in 2021, share three sons: Noah, 12, Bodhi, 10, and Journey, eight.

Meanwhile, MGK, whose real name is Colson Baker, is also a father to 15-year-old daughter Casie from a previous relationship.

Green has previously voiced his frustration about the 'Home' musician amid the sudden split from Fox, which was alleged to be because she found something on his phone. Speaking to TMZ in December, he said: "He’s in his 30s, isn’t he? In your 30s, f***. Grow up. Like, she’s pregnant."

But despite his anger, Green also shared that his main concern is Fox’s well-being, along with their three children. "I’m heartbroken about it. Because I know she’s been so excited and the kids are so excited for life and the change and all of that," he said.

Ultimately, the Knots Landing actor - who also has a two-year-old son, Zane, with fiancée Sharna Burgess, and a 22-year-old son, Kassius, with ex Vanessa Marcil - hopes for a positive outcome.

"I hope that the best outcome that could possibly happen happens for her, and for the baby, and for our kids,” he concluded.

While Fox and MGK have largely stayed quiet about their split, the 'Lonely Road' artist's recent post appeared to address reports that the two were no longer on speaking terms.

On January 28, Baker posted a cryptic message to Instagram, writing: "How can ‘sources say’ when the sources haven’t said anything?"

Though he didn’t clarify the statement, it seemed to challenge TMZ’s report that he and the Transformers actress had gone completely silent toward each other.

Fox has previously been candid about the hardships she and MGK endured, including a heartbreaking miscarriage in 2023.

"That experience was so much harder than I would’ve anticipated it being," the Subservience star told WWD. "And I’ve really analyzed ‘why was that? Why was that so difficult for me?’"

She revealed that she had suffered an ectopic pregnancy in the past and experienced other complications, but this particular loss was especially painful. "Not with someone who I was so in love with," she added.

While she was grateful to have her former partner by her side, she also said that their deep connection made the loss even harder.

"That love element really made this miscarriage really tragic for me and left me with a lot of grief and a lot of suffering," she said.
