Chris Evans has jokingly pointed out how much Joe Biden resembles the character of Captain America.

Per The Independent, the joke began on November 9, when a Twitter user and Marvel Cinematic Universe fan by the name of Rachel Leishman tweeted the Knives Out actor.

Tagging Chris Evans in her post, Rachel, pointed out how much Biden looks like the older version of Steve Rogers/Captain America seen at the end of Avengers: Endgame.

Rachel wrote: "I dare you to interview Joe Biden for ASP dressed as old man Steve Rogers."

Evans himself clearly seemed to see and appreciate the resemblance between his aged-up superhero character and the Democrat presidential candidate.

Sharing a side-by-side picture comparing the two with his 14.2 million Twitter followers, the 39-year-old actor replied to Rachel by writing: "I already started writing our Parent Trap remake. [sic]"

Amused by the actor's prompt and frank reply, Rachel wrote back simply: "Good. Will also accept this."

A number of Twitter users seemed to really appreciate the actor's post and tweeted right back at Evans in the replies:

It's no surprise that Evans, who is a vocal critic of Donald Trump, has no problem being compared with Biden. Back in October, he attacked the incumbent president for seemingly downplaying the dangers of COVID in an address to the public.

The video was released to the public upon Trump's return to the White House, after spending three days receiving treatment for the coronavirus at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

In a video shared with his 87 million Twitter followers, Trump stated:

"I just left Walter Reed Medical Center and it's really something very special - the doctors, the nurses, the first responders. And I learned so much about coronavirus. And one thing that's for certain: Don't let it dominate you. Don't be afraid of it. You're gonna beat it."

Trump continued:

"We have the greatest country in the world. We're going back, we're going back to work. We're going to be out front... And, I know there's a risk, there's a danger - but that's okay.

A less-than-impressed Evans promptly retweeted Trump and wrote back:

"Don’t be afraid of Covid?! You’ve been under round-the-clock care by the best doctors using the best drugs. Do you really think everyone has access to that?! Sadly, I’m sure you’re aware of that disparity, you just don’t care.

This is reckless to a shocking degree, even for you."
