Some of you will know Danielle Bregoli by her stage name Bhad Bhabie, but most of you will probably just know her as the bratty teen from that episode of Dr. Phil.
Well, it is safe to say that Bregoli has changed a lot since her appearance on the talk show back in September 2016 - in fact, most of her fans have recently struggled to recognize her.
Bregoli recently commented on her "friendship" with Billie Eilish:Taking to Instagram earlier this week, the now 17-year-old rapper showed off her new black hair and glamorous makeup - but it was the color of her skin that left many of her 17.8 million followers baffled.
Bregoli's comments section exploded with remarks concerning her noticeably darker skin, with some people even accusing the teenage star of 'blackfishing'. If you're unfamiliar with the term, 'blackfishing' is when Caucasian people use makeup and other cosmetics to manipulate their features and skin tone to achieve a more mixed-race appearance.
Needless to say, it is not okay.
While many comments simply labeled Bregoli's look as "blackfishing", "blackface", or "cultural appropriation", one commenter calmly typed:
"It’s painful to watch someone cash in on your actual lifestyle and look, especially when you’re still vilified for being your authentic self.
"How long will we crucify black girls for being black girls, while uplifting white women for jocking our essence?"

Now, Bregoli has since responded to the criticism,
Writing in a series of Instagram stories, she said:
"Millions of people sick, thousands dying every day and y’all worried about me getting my makeup done for a photoshoot? I’m usually the wild one but y’all need to chill and focus on what’s important right now."

The rapper then shared somebody's post joking that her "transformation into a light skinned black woman is almost complete", adding, "aww I’m trending, thank you."
