Fans have been speculating over a 'sixth toe', after spotting a detail in the latest holiday picture uploaded by Kim Kardashian to Instagram.

The picture in question shows Kim wearing a figure-hugging summer dress and sandals, posing for the camera while vacationing in the Caribbean as part of her 40th birthday celebrations.

The Kardashians were also criticized by British daytime TV show host Piers Morgan in the following rant:

Sharing the picture with her 190 million Instagram followers, Kim captioned her post: "Now that I have your attention...this a reminder to VOTE. 6 days. [sic]"

However, a number of users were more interested in Kim's feet. For instance, one Twitter-user wrote: "Am I the only one who noticed she has 6 toes? [sic]"

This is far from the first time that Kim Kardashian's fans have speculated over the appearance of her feet. Back in November 2019, she was trolled over her how her feet looked while attending the American Influencer Awards.

A spokesperson for Kim cleared up the issue, telling Page Six that: "The confusing illusion is the result not of Photoshop, but of the sideways angle of the star’s foot."

Meanwhile, sports podiatry expert Dr. Daniel Geller told Hollywood Life that her sixth toe,  "is actually an optical illusion caused by a small bunion."

Geller stated: "Typically, a classic bunion deformity is the swollen, painful imminent on the big toe. When there’s a deformity on the outside part of the foot, that’s called a 'tailor’s bunion' which is what this appears to be."

He continued: "Essentially what you’re seeing is the fifth metatarsal bone that protrudes outward a little bit, which almost creates an optical illusion that she has a sixth toe."

Geller added: "In this case, it’s usually the result of wearing high heels or shoes that are very narrow in the forefoot that really squeeze the toes together. As you squeeze the toes together, the metatarsal bone protrudes outward."

The Keeping Up With Kardashians star has also been slammed by critics this week for throwing a lavish birthday party on a private island in the Caribbean in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

Sharing some snaps from the private island she'd retreated to on her 40th birthday, Kim captioned her post:

"Before COVID, I don’t think any of us truly appreciated what a simple luxury it was to be able to travel and be together with family and friends in a safe environment.

"After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time.

"We danced, rode bikes, swam near whales, kayaked, watched a movie on the beach and so much more. I realize that for most people, this is something that is so far out of reach right now, so in moments like these, I am humbly reminded of how privileged my life is."

As a result of the post, a number of Twitter-users created image macros and memes parodying Kim's "humble" post, which you can view above.
