Gigi Hadid gives birth to her and Zayn Malik's first baby girl

After weeks of speculation, during which some fans thought she might have already given birth, Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have now announced that they've welcomed their first baby together, and it's a girl!

Fans first started speculating that Hadid may have already given birth when her father Mohammed Hadid, posted a handwritten note to Instagram titled Grandpa's heart, along with the caption, "In the name of God the The merciful I want to say l love you and so proud of you. @gigihadid," per E! News.

Now, though, Zayn Malik has confirmed that he and Gigi Hadid have welcomed their baby daughter together, taking to Twitter to write, "Our baby girl is here, healthy & beautiful to try put into words how i am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love i feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding.Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, & thankful for the life we will have together x"

Gigi Hadid previously took to Instagram to show off her baby bump during her pregnancy.

"Growin an angel [sic]," she captioned the first of three editorial snaps. 

"cherishing this time. appreciate all the love & well wishes will never forget creating these special images with my friends @luigiandiango @gabriellak_j @erinparsonsmakeup thank you. I love you! [sic]," she added.

The 25-year-old model confirmed that she was expecting during a heartfelt interview with Jimmy Fallon back in May.

After The Tonight Show host congratulated Hadid, she replied: "Thank you so much! Obviously, you know, we wish we could've announced it on our own terms, but we're very excited and happy and grateful for everyone's well wishes and support so..."

Fallon then said that it was "the best news you could ever have in the entire world - even in this crazy world. [...] It was a ray of sunshine that we all needed."

Offering his advice to the first-time mom, Fallon said: "I will tell you this, tons of people will give you advice and say, 'Oh they grow up so fast, enjoy it'. I don't wanna be that person, because they are kind of right. But don't overdo it, just be present for every part of it."

To which Hadid replied: "I’m trying. Especially during this time, it’s a nice silver lining to be able to be home and together and really experience it day by day."
