Celebrities get a lot of attention from fans, paparazzi, and the media, and not all of it is welcome. When you're a celebrity couple, it's even more intense. It's one thing to know that any personal issues are moments away from going public, but it's another thing entirely when you see rumours spread that you know are far from the truth.

Last week, it was reported that there were some issues between Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber, with one source claiming they were having "trust issues". Us Weekly reported that the pair were going through a rough patch due to Bieber's personal struggles. According to this source, his friends are "concerned about his relationship with Hailey" as they are "still having trust issues and a hard time."

“He still wants and needs her to be his wife and she wants to support him,” the anonymous source said. “But it’s hard when he’s going through all of this.”

After possibly seeing these headlines while on a beach vacation with Justin, Hailey took to Instagram to refute the reports, claiming they're all just "fake news".

Her dismissal of these rumours is perhaps more believable considering how open they've both been in the past about their relationship.

The couple were on the cover of Vogue back in February, where they spoke about how their marriage can be "very hard" at times.

"The thing is, marriage is very hard," Hailey said in the interview. "That is the sentence you should lead with. It’s really effing hard." Bieber added that "fighting is good," turning to religion to reveal his feelings about Hailey:

"Doesn’t the Bible talk about righteous anger? We don’t want to lose each other. We don’t want to say the wrong thing, and so we’ve been struggling with not expressing our emotions, which has been driving me absolutely crazy because I just need to express myself, and it’s been really difficult to get her to say what she feels."

In the same interview, Baldwin revealed that she turned to prayer after the first few weeks of marriage became very lonely for her. Justin, on the other hand, came to the realisation that he had what he called a "legitimate problem with sex" in the past, and his subsequent celibacy apparently made him feel closer to God.

"He [God] doesn’t ask us not to have sex for him because he wants rules and stuff. He’s like, I’m trying to protect you from hurt and pain. I think sex can cause a lot of pain.

"Sometimes people have sex because they don’t feel good enough. Because they lack self-worth. Women do that, and guys do that. I wanted to rededicate myself to God in that way because I really felt it was better for the condition of my soul. And I believe that God blessed me with Hailey as a result. There are perks. You get rewarded for good behavior."

Whatever struggles they've had to overcome, it looks like the Biebers are approaching it with honesty.
