In a heartfelt interview, Jada Pinkett Smith opened up about her profound bond with the late Tupac Shakur, reflecting on a relationship that transcended the physical and delved deep into the emotional.

The childhood friends, who met at school and instantly felt a connection "as if we already knew each other," were so close that they even considered each other "soulmates".

On Steven Bartlett's The Diary Of A CEO podcast, Jada, while holding back tears, shared a touching image of her with Tupac and their friend Maxine - who tragically died by suicide around the same time Tupac was killed.

Their closeness was evident, yet their relationship was never physically intimate. "Throughout our relationship we definitely had this beautiful closeness that was really intimate but never physically intimate," Jada stated.

This was a point of confusion, even to them. Jada humorously recalled an incident where they tried to kiss and how it turned out to be "the most disgusting kiss between us both."

The actress believes that the lack of physical intimacy may have been for the best. "God was like 'no I got a plan and that's not part of the plan,'" she explained. Their bond was so profound that Tupac, even while serving a sentence at Rikers Island, proposed marriage to Jada in a heartfelt letter.

She graciously turned him down but remained a fixture in his life until a massive altercation regarding Tupac's behavior post-prison led to their separation.

Devastatingly, this was their last interaction before Tupac's tragic death in 1996 at the age of 25. A cold case for over 25 years, recent developments saw the arrest of Duane 'Keffe D' Davis in connection to Tupac's killing.

She said: "I really took for granted that he would be living forever, he had already survived so much. I looked at Pac as being invincible at this point... That was the last time I spoke to him and you know what's crazy, it meant absolutely nothing."

In the same conversation, Jada shed light on her relationship with Hollywood superstar, Will Smith. Admitting to feeling "thrown to the curb" during their secret separation, she highlighted the stark differences in their "love languages". While Will believed in working hard to provide everything for her, Jada longed for emotional intimacy, wanting to "look in [Will's] eyes and feel his love."

Jada elaborated on the struggles of maintaining a balance in relationships and the false notion many have that giving everything to a partner will eventually lead to personal happiness. "If I'm not connected to myself, if I don't have a good relationship with me, there's nothing he can do," she revealed.

Will Smith has admitted that he struggled with Jada Pinkett Smith's relationship with Tupac Shakur and that he was "tortured by their connection."

The 53-year-old actor has opened up about his feelings about Jada and Tupac and admitted that he had "raging jealousy" over their natural bond.

The Hollywood star has shared details in his new memoir, titled Will, and said that the friendship between his wife and the late rapper made him feel insecure.

Jada, 50, was high school friends with Tupac and after a tough start to life, they managed to fight "their way from under the weight of abuse and neglect" to reach momentous success.

Will revealed that he was wary of the friendship when he started dating Jada.

Writing in his memoir, Will shared: "Though they were never intimate, their love for each other is legendary - they defined 'ride or die.'

"In the beginning of our relationship, my mind was tortured by their connection. He was 'PAC! and I was me."

Speaking about Tupac, Will said that the rapper had "a fearless passion that was intoxicating, a militant morality, and a willingness to fight and die for what he believed was right."

Will said that he felt inadequate in Tupac's presence and that this was the feeling he had when his younger brother Harry would stand up to their abusive father.

The Fresh Prince star said: "Pac was like Harry - he triggered the perception of myself as a coward. I hated that I wasn't what he was in the world, and I suffered raging jealousy: I wanted Jada to look at me like that."

As Will and Jada's relationship blossomed, Will said that he felt a "twisted kind of victory" when Jada was "less available" to be with Tupac.

"If she chose me over Tupac, there was no way I could be a coward. I have rarely felt more validated," he added.

"The way Jada loved 'Pac rendered me incapable of being friends with him. I was too immature."

Tupac was tragically killed in a drive-by shooting in 1996 at the age of 25. Will and Jada tied the knot the following year, with the couple later welcoming son Jaden, 23, and daughter Willow, 21.

Jada and Will haven't exactly been keeping their relationship private lately, with many bombshells being dropped about their marriage.

Since Jada started promoting her new book, Worthy, she has revealed that her "soulmate" is Tupac Shakur, she and Will have been secretly separated for seven years, and they might get a divorce within the next decade.

These are just a few of the revelations being made and through it all, fans have become concerned about Will as it seemed like his dirty laundry was being aired without his permission.

Despite all of this, it seems like Will is doing okay as he joined Jada on stage at the Enoch Pratt Free Library in Baltimore on Wednesday.

As per the Baltimore Sun, Will said: "I just really wanted to come out and just be here and hold it down for you the way you have held it down for me."

The couple, whose relationship has often been described as "brutiful" – a fusion of brutal and beautiful – appeared to have rekindled their connection during the reunion. Will's sentiments echoed this sentiment, as he shared: "We have had a very, very long and tumultuous [relationship]. We call it ‘brutiful.’ It was brutal and beautiful at the same time."

Jada appeared to be moved by Will's words, as she placed her hand over her mouth, demonstrating her emotion.

Their children, Jaden, 25, and Willow, 22, were also in attendance to witness this heartfelt moment. Additionally, Jada's mother, Adrienne Banfield Norris, who was celebrating her 70th birthday, joined the family, making the occasion all the more special.

Will's 30-year-old son, Trey Smith, from his previous marriage to Sheree Zampino, also joined the family in this touching moment.

In the midst of this public declaration of love, Will shared with the audience the unique journey they have undertaken. He referred to their tumultuous union as a "sloppy public experiment in unconditional love," as reported by the Baltimore Banner.

"As I stand here before you today, I am happier than I’ve ever been in my entire life," Will expressed. "I have achieved every single thing I have ever wanted in my entire life."

Will acknowledged the immense support he received from Jada throughout their life together. He described how his dreams were "largely built on the foundation of Jada’s sacrifices."

In addition to appreciating her support in his career, Will thanked Jada for her instrumental role in raising their children.

He left the audience with a profound question: "Can you show up and love somebody for the rest of your life, even when you don't agree with them?"

Will then declared: "Jada is the best friend I have ever had on this planet, and I am going to show up for her and support her for the rest of my life."

Addressing their current status, Jada shared with the audience: "Will and me are good. All the people who don’t understand and [have] got something to say are just going to have to fall in line."

Will Smith has left his fans "confused" after sharing a series of touching photos of his family celebrating Thanksgiving.

The Smith family has been in the headlines quite a lot over the last couple of months, following the release of Jada Pinkett Smith's eye-opening memoir, Worthy.

Prior to the release of her book, Jada went on a promotional tour where she shared several headline-grabbing revelations about her life and relationship with her husband, Will.

For example, in a candid interview with PEOPLE, the 52-year-old star dropped the bombshell that she and Will have secretly been separated for seven years - leaving many people with more questions than answers. (Most notably about that infamous Oscars slap.)

Then, in an interview with Rolling Out, Pinkett Smith opened up about her relationship with the late rapper Tupac Shakur, describing him as her "soulmate".

But despite Jada claiming that many people "missed the point" of her comments about her marriage - emphasizing that they are "working very hard" to repair their relationship - many of the couple's fans are still trying to work out what the heck is going on.

This became evident when the 55-year-old Men In Black star took to Instagram over Thanksgiving to share some touching photos of his family celebrating the holidays, captioning the post: "Best Thanksgiving Ever."

Captured by celebrity photographer Alan Silfen, Will posed with several members of the Smith family, including wife Jada, his three children - Jaden, Willow, and Trey - and even his ex-wife Sheree Zampino.

And in one touching photo, Will can even be seen kissing Jada lovingly on the head.

Unsurprisingly, this show of affection and celebration of his extended family left many of his Instagram followers scratching their heads - and some took to the comments section to share their thoughts.

"I’m just so confused about y’all life," one person replied, with another adding: "Look like a married couple to me not a separated one."

"I'm confused," a third commented.

However, despite the confusion, there were many fans who praised Will for sharing the pictures and for always standing by his family.

Others were always quick to highlight that no family is perfect and that family dynamics are different for everyone.

"They’ve decided to tear down and rebuild! I see nothing wrong with it. Healing doesn’t always look the same way. Blessings to them," one person pointed out.

One Instagram user wrote: "Right now somebody is scrolling through these photos and is actually mad at the love on display. All families can’t enjoy each other’s company and smile like this. I love to see it. Bless this family."

Will Smith joined Jada Pinkett Smith on stage and made a brutal joke following his wife's recent revelations about their marriage.

As previously reported, the Smiths, whose marriage has recently been under the spotlight due to a series of revelations, made their emotions public during an appearance at the Enoch Pratt Free Library in Baltimore on Wednesday.

Jada has been making headlines as she promotes her new book, Worthy. In the process, she's revealed her deep connection to her 'soulmate' Tupac Shakur, disclosed that she and Will have been separated for seven years, and hinted at the possibility of a divorce in the coming decade.

Throughout these revelations, fans and onlookers had expressed concern about Will, as it seemed like his personal life was being aired without his consent.

However, at the library event, it was clear that Will was doing just fine. The Baltimore Sun reported his heartfelt words: "I just really wanted to come out and just be here and hold it down for you the way you have held it down for me."

The couple appeared to rekindle their deep connection during this reunion, as Will shared: "We have had a very, very long and tumultuous [relationship]. We call it 'brutiful.' It was brutal and beautiful at the same time."

Will then took a humorous approach where he appeared to make a joke about his wife following all of her recent revelations.

He referred to their tumultuous union as a "sloppy public experiment in unconditional love," as reported by the Baltimore Banner.

Given that the pair have very much been in the public eye lately, his joke seems to hit the nail on the head.

However, it would seem that some fans have had enough of hearing about the pair, as they have taken to social media to beg Jada to stop dropping bombshells.

On social media, users have taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to directly tweet the actress, asking her to cease sharing details of her family life. One user wrote: "Please STOP... you and your husband live your life the way you want, but I, for one, am sick of the years of play by play."

Another user tweeted: "Thanks for all of the personal info we didn’t ask for. Why do you keep thinking we want to know about your and your family’s personal business? We don’t care! So please stop sharing!"

A different X user appealed to the star, saying: "I need @jadapsmith to stop talking, please… I'm begging you."

Yet another user added: "Someone please tell @jadapsmith that we do not care. So tired of seeing a million articles about her and #WillSmith’s weird a** marriage. Stop airing your dirty laundry. It’s not a good look."

Some fans even directed their frustration toward the outlets conducting the interviews. One social media user tweeted: "Whoever keeps on asking @jadapsmith questions, please stop. We're tired of her drama."
