Jada Pinkett Smith has opened up about her relationship with Tupac Shakur, as she claims that he was her "soulmate".

The 52-year-old actress has been promoting her new book, Worthy, recently - and during some candid conversations, she has opened up about some secrets in her life.

The star has recently sat down with Rolling Out where she opened up about her relationship with the late rapper, Tupac.

Jada expressed that the reason she didn't get romantically involved with Tupac was that the pair didn't have any chemistry, but she also referred to him as her "soulmate".

The 52-year-old expressed that if there is such a thing as past lives, then she believes that Tupac and herself have "traveled a few together," while adding that it was almost like "God made us that way".

What's more, she revealed that the rapper had proposed to her - which raised further questions of why two people with "no chemistry" were considering getting married.

People on social media have raised those exact questions, with most people appearing to ponder the same thing.

One person penned: "He's not your soulmate if you have no chemistry... he's your infatuation."

A second questioned: "How is someone your soulmate without chemistry," while a third posed the same question: "How can someone be your soulmate but you have no chemistry."

This isn't the only revelation that Jada has made recently, as she has also stated that she and husband Will Smith have been secretly separated for seven years.

During an interview with People, Jada revealed that the couple's paths diverged back in 2016, meaning that during the explosive 2022 Oscars incident where Will confronted comedian Chris Rock over a joke about Jada's shaved head, they were, in fact, living separately.

Speaking on the incident, Jada said: "We've been doing some really heavy-duty work together. We just got deep love for each other and we are going to figure out what that looks like."

The actress also acknowledged her steadfast support system, showering praise on her children. She stated: "My children, they're little gurus. They've taught me a deep sense of self-acceptance. They love every part of me."

This startling separation revelation may leave many surprised, especially considering that the couple continued to publicly refer to each other as husband and wife throughout the past seven years.
