With Super Bowl LX underway in Santa Clara, attention has been called to the celebrities in the stands - including Jay Z and his wife Beyonce.
The pair were spotted at the stadium as the game got underway, but some viewers were asking a key question about their attendance.
Jay Z and Beyonce were spotted at the Super Bowl
Jay Z and Beyonce are just two of the stars on show at the NFL’s showpiece event in Santa Clara tonight.
Adam Sandler, the Biebers, tennis superstar Roger Federer, and Jon Bon Jovi have all had airtime, as well as some significant stars of the musical world.
One person who won't be there is US President Donald Trump, because of the musical performers on show.
Of course, Bad Bunny was selected as the half-time performer - controversially - and Green Day also courted some controversy with their performance as well.
Then, Charlie Puth was accused of not giving his all to the national anthem performance, although we have no idea whether the accusations made against him are true.
But it all fades into insignificance when you consider the alleged scandal surrounding Jay Z and Beyonce - so strap in, as things are getting a bit weird.
The famous pair had been rumored to have left the USA
As you will no doubt be aware, the Epstein files were recently updated with millions more documents, and those documents named Jay Z and Beyonce.
In fact, it had been rumored online that the pair were so damaged by the release that they had left the country altogether.
Those unverified claims circulated for a few days after the release of the files, with one person sharing a post that read: “Jay Z has reportedly left the U.S. to an undisclosed destination. He once sang about having 5 passport and will avoid jail.”
It eventually turned out that a lot of those claims came from a well-known parody account, so were therefore false.
However, that news hasn’t reached everyone, and some were particularly perplexed to see them at the Super Bowl.
“I thought he fled the country,” one wrote.
“I thought JayZ was out on an island somewhere,” said another.
A third added: “Didn’t they say he fled the country?”
Well, the simple answer is no.
With all the controversy swirling in the USA just now, it’s hard to imagine this being the biggest shock of the night.
Bad Bunny and the alternative Turning Point USA half-time shows are still to come.
