Netflix's hit docuseries, Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness, has been keeping many of us who are self-isolating entertained through this unprecedented time. From Joe Exotic's diss tracks to the question of whether Carole Baskin killed her husband and fed him to her tigers, it's a rip-roaring ride through the underbelly of America's exotic animal owners.
And apparently, the twists and turns just keep coming. Per the Mirror, Exotic was once married to a convicted paedophile who is now serving time in prison for murder.
The series charted the erstwhile zoo owner's later relationships, including his 2014 polyamorous wedding ceremony to John Finlay and Travis Maldonado, as well as his later marriage to the then 22-year-old Dillon Passage.
According to the British tabloid, however, before these marriages, Exotic - born Joe Schreibvogel, was in a relationship with Jeffrey Charles "JC" Hartpence, prior to his convictions.
Exotic purportedly struck up a relationship with Hartpence while he was grieving his first husband Brian Rhyne's death - who passed away in 2001 from complications related to HIV.
He ended things with Hartpence after he allegedly held a gun to his head during a drunken dispute.

The 43-year-old is now serving a life sentence at a prison in Kansas for the first-degree murder of Curtis Shelton, who was discovered dead at his home in 2014 with multiple gunshot wounds.
Exotic married his fifth husband Dillon Passage in 2017, and they are still together despite Exotic's 22-year prison sentence for allegedly paying a hitman to kill his nemesis Carole Baskin, and for killing tigers at his zoo to make space for other animals.
