Kanye West appears to be on a bit of an apology tour at the moment and the latest stop on the trail? No other than rival rapper Drake!

Fans were left shocked when the 41-year-old seemed finally ready to put his year-long feud with the In My Feelings star to rest, taking to Twitter to post a long-winded statement on the topic.

The rapper started by referring to the beginning of their fight in June 2017 when Kanye announced he was releasing a seven-song album just two days after Drake announced his next solo album, Scorpion, would also debut in June.

Posting one of Drake's concert pictures, he wrote: "I haven’t seen the show in person but the images look incredible online. I understand where the confusion started... Let me start by apologizing for stepping on your release date in the first place… We were building a bond and working on music together including squashing the issues with Cudi at our office... When I put the dates up I was a bit ramped up doing 25 tweets a day TMZ happened shortly after".

He continued: "because we spoke about doing Lift Yourself together I should have given you the opportunity for us to do this together before I released it... since we were building as friends and brothers I should have spoken to Pusha about the Quentin Miller bar. There should have been no songs with my involvement that had any negative energy towards you... I never listened to either diss track that followed but I did hear quotes from both songs after they were released."

Next, the Stronger star responded to allegations that he had told Pusha T about Drake's secret child. Pusha T accused Drake fathering an illegitimate child on latest diss track The Story of Adidon, a claim that the Drake eventually seemingly confirmed in Emotionless where he raps "I wasn’t hiding my kid from the world, I was hiding the world from my kid."

Denying that he played any role in this drama, Kanye wrote: "I did not have any conversations about your child with Pusha. I don’t play with the idea of people’s children after I spoke to Wiz a few years earlier... I understand Pusha’s issues as a man if someone mentions your fiancé men go mask off. I’ve done the same myself at times. I love you and I love Pusha and we all have an admiration for each other’s craft."

The 41-year-old finished up by offering his former nemesis love, tweeting: "This is all Jedi level. I will be coming to your show within the next seven days to give love and be inspired by the art you have created."

The Gold Digger rapper's apology comes just days after his wife Kim Kardashian denied sleeping with Drake after a fan theory alleged that Drake had told us all this piece of information a long time ago and we just "hadn't been listening".

So, will Drake respond to his enemy offering an olive branch? Watch this space.
