Last night CBS broadcast the Grammys, that awards show you claim you don't care about but you're still furious your favorite musical artist didn't win.
Cardi B's Invasion of Privacy won Best Rap Album, making her the first female rapper to win that award. (Sorry, Nicki Minaj!) It also means that Cardi B has one more Grammy then rap legends Nas, 2pac, Biggie, Snoop Dogg, A Tribe Called Quest, Run DMC, Ice Cube and the Wu-Tang Clan. (Better step it up, guys!)
Meanwhile, Ariana Grande's Sweetener won Best Pop Album. True to her word, the songstress didn't show up, after a disagreement with producers over which songs to perform. However, she did tweet photos of herself lounging at home in a Cinderella-esque ballgown. She didn't get to strut the red carpet, but many other celebrities did, and fellow pop queen Katy Perry might have stolen the show.
Perry wore a pink ruffled confection-like Balmain dress that quickly became the internet's new favorite meme. Twitter users compared the gown to cotton candy, loofahs, Barbie birthday cakes and even Squidward from an episode of Spongebob Squarepants.
Gal pal Anna Kendrick joined in on the fun by posting a photo of she and Katy Perry's matching bright pink ensembles. "When Skipper and Barbie come as a packaged set," joked Kendrick.
Perry acknowledged the memes on Instagram by sharing a hilarious image of herself as a paint roller. "hi to whoever made this edit ?," she wrote in the caption.
Over the years, Perry has been nominated for thirteen Grammy awards, and never won. But on the upside, her puffy cotton candy gown did win the internet, which means much more than a golden statue of a gramophone. (Whatever that is! There's only one 'Gram we care about, and it's not the gramophone.)
