While the world is busy lapping up everything to do with Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian, the other sisters in the Kardashian-Jenner axis can sometimes fall under the radar. Khloe Kardashian's stock has undoubtedly risen since she announced her pregnancy, but for Kourtney Kardashian, she tends to keep herself away from the cameras and instead focuses on her private life and her young family, as well as keeping fit and healthy.
For those of you who are unaware, Kourtney Kardashian is widely considered as the definition of 'body goals.' The 38-year-old mom-of-three may only stand at 5ft tall, but she is toned and is also the proud owner of that infamous and ample 'Kardashian butt.'
However, Kourtney hasn't managed to achieve her body easily. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star is a known fitness freak and follows an extremely strict diet.
Taking to her app in June, Kourtney revealed that she doesn't eat sugar, never drinks soda and rarely drinks alcohol. She also revealed that she and her children stick to a gluten-free and dairy-free diet due to health reasons.
“I have noticed a great positive change in behavior with my children when we stick to a gluten-free and dairy-free diet,” she wrote. “I don’t think everyone needs to eat this way but we had muscle testing done, which showed we all have sensitivities to corn, gluten and dairy.”
“I always try to avoid sugar — especially refined sugar — for so many reasons. First, sugar is addictive and I notice that after I eat it, I need it. Sugar doesn’t sustain you when you actually need energy, like for a workout.”
She adds:
“I don’t drink soda—ever! I drink a ton of water during the day. I don’t drink much alcohol in general. Cocktails are often mixed with juice or soda — not only high in calories, but sugar too. Aside from drinking too much, the sugar content in drinks is often what accounts for bad hangovers.
"When I do drink, I go for either tequila on the rocks, beer or wine. If you’re cutting down on sugar, it’s good to know that rosé wine usually has less sugar than red or white.”
But while Kourtney has a body that most people would kill for, her weight has a few people worried. In a deleted scene from the most recent episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kourtney reveals how much she weighs while chatting to her sister Khloe and their friend Simon Gebrelul.
“You know she’s 97 [pounds],” her sister Khloe said. “Guess what, I gained a pound, I’m 98,” Kourtney answered.
However, it was the next line in the conversation that has caused a stir on social media, with Kourtney comparing herself to her eight-year-old son, Mason. “You know Mason is 62,” she said. That's right, Kourtney and her son are only 36 pounds apart from one another.
While Kourtney's weight may come as a shock to some, it's important to remember that she is only 5ft tall, so she actually is a pretty healthy weight for her height. Still, I don't fancy doing her diet anytime soon.
