We're all left flummoxed from time to time - but it's rare that a video of our flustered moment goes around the world and creates the internet's favourite new meme. Unfortunately for Lady Gaga, that's exactly what happened after she gave the world's most awkward interview at the Golden Globes on Sunday night.
It all started when Entertainment Tonight spoke to the singer on the red carpet, pointing out that her gorgeous dress looked awfully similar to Judy Garland's in the 1954 version of A Star Is Born. For some reason, the normally perfectly-composed superstar was floored by the juxtaposition, responding with a language that none of us really knew: "Oh...you know what? I don't...I...n-no...we didn't say that...uh, no, but i-it looks an awful lot like that, now doesn't it?"

Of course, it wasn't long until people online took the moment and ran with it, creating hilarious memes that will follow the songstress around for some time to come...
Lady Gaga is a lot of things: talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show-stopping, et cetera. But one thing we rarely see the Queen of Pop being is relatable. However, during the 91st Oscar Nominees Luncheon, Gaga was caught creeping on director RaMell Ross' phone, sending her eagle-eyed fans mad:
The A Star Is Born actress can be seen staring at her fellow Oscar nominee's mobile phone for several seconds, prompting Twitter users to confess that they have been guilty of doing the same thing in public:
One user joked that perhaps the Hale County This Morning, This Evening director was texting his friends to let them know he was standing next to Lady Gaga:
Lady Gaga was attending the Oscar Nominees Luncheon after receiving a Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role Oscar nomination. Her A Star Is Born co-star and director, Bradley Cooper, can also be seen attending. Whatever her reason for staring at Ross' phone, Gaga has given her fans yet more meme-worthy content. At this rate, Gaga is going to be the most memed celebrity of 2019!
If there's anything we know about Lady Gaga, it's that she's a meek, understated performer who prefers to go under the radar. Nah, just kidding! We know how extra Lady Gaga can be, and we're always - always! - here for it.
Whether she's stealing the show on A Star Is Born or stealing the show at Super Bowl LI, Lady Gaga steals the show pretty much all the time, and last night's Met Gala was no different.
Known for her unique and memorable outfits as much as her singing talent, Lady Gaga appeared at the Met Gala in an incredible outfit, but managed to outdo even herself by showing up three more times, in three more outfits, put together by her stylist-turned-designer, Brandon Maxwell.

Let's start with outfit one: a voluminous pink gown with a huge train. On any other day, that would be headline news, but Lady Gaga was far from done, ladies and gentlemen. Next up, she stripped down to this sleek black strapless number, take a look:

Outfit number three; we've got another pink dress, this one a lot more form, fitting, so to speak:

And finally, Lady Gaga stripped all the way down to a sexy lingerie outfit:

Lady Gaga, it's fair to say, brought it to the Met Gala. Twitter thought so too. Here’s some nifty reaction tweets, and some glorious memes:
It was the Grammy Awards last night, which meant some big wins, disappointing losses, hilarious moments, and of course, some awkwardness too. As with all ceremonies like this, there's going to be at least a little bit of drama to go with the celebrations, and the 2019 Grammys were no different.
Lady Gaga had a big night for a variety of reasons. At the Grammys, she was nominated for four awards, and that wasn't even the only ceremony she was invited to that night. She let Bradley Cooper go in her stead to represent A Star Is Born at the BAFTAs the same night, and ended up being awarded alongside Cooper and Lukas Nelson for Best Original Music.
“I can’t believe we just won Best Original Music @BAFTA ‘s . I wish so much I was there but am at the Grammy’s to show them our love as well," she wrote on Twitter. “We made a film about music. This means the world to me.”
Back at the Grammys, she was was nominated for even more awards, landing a win for both Best Solo Performance and Best Pop Duo/ Group Performance. That wasn't the only reason she was so memorable that evening, however.
For one, she took to the stage to perform a rendition of Shallow from A Star Is Born, a song that while usually a fairly low-key duet, was instead a powerhouse performance by the star in full glam rock gear. It was pretty polarising for those watching, but definitely turned some heads. But that wasn't the only potential awkwardness of the evening for Gaga.
Before the night gets started, there's always the red carpet, in which the world's biggest stars arrive in a huge range of expensive (and sometimes strange) outfits made by the world's most influential designers. One by one, they're interviewed by the likes of Ryan Seacrest, who called her over for a quick word on behalf of E! As many pointed out after watching, it wasn't the most comfortable interview in the world, thanks to some awkward spots in the conversation.
The official upload captured only part of the conversation, but there was definitely some questionable moments afterwards. One user shared part of the interview where Seacrest made a statement, then handed Gaga the mic, at which point she stared back at him and said, "You didn't ask me a question."
At the end of the interview they made a joke about the awkwardness, in a moment where Gaga is either genuinely shocked, or plays up the comedy of the moment perfectly.
While this was definitely a little awkward, I'm sure she didn't mind - and is much more worried about where to store all those Grammys now her awards cabinet is undoubtedly full to the brim.
Lady Gaga is, as her name suggests, a pretty spectacular person. Ever since she shot to fame in 2008 with hits such as Just Dance and Poker Face, the singer has wowed us with her wacky outfits, over-the-top performances, and unstoppable courage in the face of difficult times.
And more recently, she's turned her hand to acting.
Appearing alongside Bradley Cooper, Gaga - whose real name is Stefani Germanotta - has just made her big screen debut in the film A Star Is Born, a romantic drama with a musical twist.
The movie premiered in Hollywood yesterday, and the Applause singer turned up looking as stunning as she always does.
Having appeared in American Horror Story, the 32-year-old artist is more than used to having the cameras turned on her by now (and, of course, her illustrious music career has seen her take to the red carpet dozens of times in the past). Even so, fans were utterly shook at how naturally she was able to strike a pose on the red carpet.
One person spotted a particularly impressive moment in which Gaga transitioned from giving a correspondent a polite hug and kiss on the cheek to flashing a smouldering pose in the blink of an eye. And yes, you guessed it, Twitter went a bit wild.
Last night's 92nd annual Academy Awards featured many iconic moments that had viewers reacting in a number of different ways.
Millennials couldn't contain their joy when Eminem took to the stage to perform the 2003 Oscar-winning 'Best Original Song' Lose Yourself. People cheered when Tom Hanks rallied the room to get the lights put back on for the cast and crew of Parasite. And, for the most part, people laughed along as Maya Rudolph and Kristen Wiig presented the awards for Best Costume Design and Best Production Design.
Prior to presenting the respective awards, the Bridesmaids stars performed skits in which they pretended to be annoyed at their role in the awards show, before going on to deliver an unexpected musical medley.
And it goes without saying that Eilish's brief reaction on camera was immediately picked up by the millions of viewers, and now the 'Bad Guy' singer has become the unofficial meme of the entire ceremony. Check out some of our favorites below:
But despite Eilish's baffled reaction, there are many viewers who are now calling for The Academy to let Rudolph and Wiig host next year's awards show:
