Logan Paul publicly responded to Jake Paul's controversial comments about Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show.
The 31-year-old artist, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, delivered one of the most culturally rich performances in the game’s history.
The Grammy-winning singer opened with 'Tití Me Preguntó', walking through a reimagined Puerto Rican vecindad on the field, complete with a sugar-cane field, barbershop, liquor store, and the iconic casita from his concert residency.
Joined by stars like Lady Gaga, Ricky Martin, Cardi B, Karol G, and Pedro Pascal, the performance moved seamlessly from neighborhood scenes to a giant on-field wedding and dance party.
Gaga sang a salsa version of her song 'Die With a Smile', and Martin performed a rendition of Bad Bunny’s 'Lo Que Le Pasó a Hawaii'.
The Puerto Rican icon closed the show by proclaiming “God Bless America,” naming every country in the Americas - including his native country - while a message behind him read: “Lo único más poderoso que el odio es el amor” (“The only thing more powerful than hate is love”).
Jake Paul Lashes Out and Logan Paul Publicly Disagrees
Before Bad Bunny even took the stage, Jake Paul, the professional boxer and influencer, took to X to express his disapproval of the singer.
"Purposefully turning off the halftime show. Let’s rally together and show big corporations they can’t just do whatever they want without consequences," he wrote. "(which equals viewership for them).
"You are their benefit. Realize you have power. Turn off this halftime. A fake American citizen performing who publicly hates America. I cannot support that," he added.
His post sparked controversy, especially since both he and his brother Logan have lived in Dorado, Puerto Rico, for five years - reportedly for tax benefits. Jake’s mansion is valued between $16 and $20 million, per Yahoo.
Logan didn’t let his brother’s comments slide without a response. In a rare moment of public disagreement, the WWE star quote-tweeted Jake’s post, writing: “I love my brother, but I don’t agree with this.
"Puerto Ricans are Americans, & I’m happy they were given the opportunity to showcase the talent that comes from the island," he added.
Trump Joins the Chorus of Criticism
President Donald Trump also condemned Bad Bunny’s performance on Truth Social.
"The Super Bowl Halftime Show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER! It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn’t represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence" he wrote.
"Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World... There is nothing inspirational about this mess of a Halftime Show and watch, it will get great reviews from the Fake News Media, because they haven’t got a clue of what is going on in the REAL WORLD," he added.
Trump had previously voiced opposition to the NFL’s selection of Bad Bunny, claiming the show would “sow hatred".
While Bad Bunny did not mention the current US administration or ICE in his halftime show performance, he has never shied away from politics.
In addition to endorsing Kamala Harris in 2024, his song 'Nuevayol,' featured a parody of Trump’s voice apologizing to immigrants: "I want to say that this country is nothing without the immigrants... This country is nothing without Mexicans, Dominicans, Puerto Ricans, Colombians, Venezuelans, Cubans."
