Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine's red carpet appearance causes social media frenzy as fans notice strange change
Adam Levine sent fans into a frenzy this week after unveiling a new look at the 12th Breakthrough Prize Ceremony in Santa Monica.
The 47-year-old frontman of Maroon 5 attended the event in Santa Monica, California, over the weekend with his wife, Behati Prinsloo.
Levine donned a black suit with a blue shirt and smart shoes, while his 37-year-old wife looked gorgeous in a ruffled grey gown.
Online Reactions To Levine's New Look
The 'Payphone' musician's clean-shaven look left onlookers stunned, prompting many to speculate whether he had also undergone cosmetic changes.
"What did he do to his face? He looks so different," one fan posted on X, while another said: "Someone has had work done on his face!"
"They completely turned him into a different person," a third chimed in. A fourth questioned: "He was so handsome what happened to him?"
A Loving Moment With Behati After Scandal
Despite the attention surrounding his appearance, Levine and his wife looked as in love as ever during the event.
The couple has been together since 2012 and married in 2014. They share three children: daughters Dusty Rose, nine, Gio Grace, eight, and a three-year-old son.
Their appearance together comes after a turbulent period for Levine, which involved a public scandal.
In 2022, the 'Girls Like You' singer was embroiled in controversy after admitting to flirting with and sexting multiple women, including model Sumner Stroh, while Prinsloo was pregnant with their third child.
Levine denied having an affair but acknowledged his "poor judgment" in speaking to other women inappropriately.
"I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period in my life," Levine said in a public statement at the time, per News.com.au.
"In certain instances it became inappropriate; I have addressed that and taken proactive steps to remedy this with my family," he continued. "My wife and my family is all I care about in this world.
"To be this naïve and stupid enough to risk the only thing that truly matters to me was the greatest mistake I could ever make. I will never make it again. I take full responsibility. We will get through it. And we will get through it together," he added.
Despite the public scrutiny, Levine has remained active in his career. He will be returning to The Voice USA for its upcoming season.
Levine had a successful run as a coach for 16 seasons before leaving in 2019, but has since made sporadic returns, with his latest victory coming in season 29 with contestant Alexia Jayy.
